Must listen for any stager - new or tenured!
My fiancé purchased a home staging business right after we met (mid sized, 8k sqft warehouse, 3 employees). He came from an investment banking background and had noooo experience with home staging. I came from a sales operations background and also had no experience in home staging when I joined the business a few months back. We were in over our head. Cindy has been an amazing resource to help us learn and grow with this business. I love that she has guests on from across the world to speak on exciting new topics and their expertise. It’s really helped me learn, grow, and challenge ourselves in our business. I’m currently saving up money to take some of her courses and I can’t wait!! I love hearing her voice through my speakers (though if you listen she will say she hates he voice- stop it Cindy you’re an angel!) because I feels like I’m listening to a familiar friend help me improve my business and life. Cindy holds nothing back, she wants your business to succeed and provides interesting topics to help you do so! Never stop Cindy! These podcasts are helping people like me grow (what I like to call) our mini home staging empire! I aspire to be a guest speaker on your podcast (in 10 years after I gain more experience!!) I can’t thank you enough Cindy! If you’re ever in the Chicago area- we would love to connect with you and properly thank you for all the great advice to help better our business. Keep being amazing!!

She’s a true gem and we are lucky to have her support on our side!

The best staging podcast out there
There is not a better resource for information on becoming a Stager. Cindy goes above and beyond for the staging community and educating in every possible area to think of. My favorite podcasts are hearing the stories of other stagers like me and how they started, where they are now, and where they are going. She has had some amazing guests- not just stagers - but talented brilliant people from other fields that other areas of business. They provide such valuable information on social media, scaling, finances, mindset and more. Cindy led me to Michelle William’s podcast, who is a wealth of information and a coach for designers. Cindy makes sure not to have guest that are just trying to upsell you to themselves. Cindy makes sure she gets you information that can help. What a giving and caring person lifting up the staging community as a whole. If you are looking to become a stager or raise your staging businesses to the next level this is where to be. Thank you, Cindy, your generosity has honestly been life changing.

    Great show!
Just listened to my first episode. You and your speaker had wonderful tips and ideas! Thank you, I can’t wait to listen to all of them. This is super helpful and insightful for a new stager.
  • RawHoneyMamas
    Good information BUT...
Cindy is great and she gives so much information but she is extremely harsh and discouraging to new stagers. It’s almost a little odd that she would have a podcast that teaches staging but at the same time is so critical of anyone new and provides ZERO encouragement to anyone just starting out. She almost makes me feel stupid for even wanting to get involved in this business which is just odd to me given that she teaches...I do my best though to ignore those parts and just take the advice she gives because she does know her stuff and she has the most incredible guests on! Just BEWARE of her scarcity mentality and harshness as it can detract you from wanting to get started which SHOULD NOT be the case! There is room for all of us and if you have a passion, ignore the nay sayers and go for it!! 💕
  • lhdhdyddhxkg

    Great learning tool
I am considering transitioning into the staging business after 10 years in fashion but before making the jump I wanted to have a feel of what staging was like. This podcast and in general all of Cindy’s tools and information on her web are amazing and very helpful. I am very appreciative. You are very talented, Cindy, and your work is very valuable. Thank you.

    Love the podcast
Very Informative and concise , real people , real experience , love it, 5 thumbs up

    Needs major editing
I really was excited about this, and listened to several episodes. I found myself skipping ahead a lot; trying to find the meat. Host spends too much time fawning over the guests and agreeing with whatever they’re saying, without adding to the conversation. Too much extraneous conversation that is not relevant to home staging or interior design. Makes it a real slog to listen to in order to find any useful information. And at least one episode had several seconds of DEAD AIR, as the guest took phone calls during the interview. That is unacceptable, considering it’s not live and could be easily edited. I kept thinking my phone had died! Each episode varies wildly in time length, and overall the podcast needs editing to cut out all the extraneous conversation, meandering stories, and create a consistent time length from episode to episode.
  • chitown stager
    So inspiring!!!
Cindy, your show has been a game changer for me! I am in the planning and research phase of my home staging business and your show has been a wealth of information. I really appreciate how straight forward you are and the selection of guests are great! I would love to learn more about the ins and outs of the consultation meetings. Any feedback would be amazing. I am reading Barb Schwartz, Home Staging Business book. She tackles a lot of this, but I’d love to learn more from you.

Staging and Interior Design Guests MAKE this podcast
I love her guests! She’s got a knack at being able to secure some of the top professionals in interior design, staging, and real estate. She’s young, energetic, and very well-prepared. I’m not in the business, but I’m learning so much as a home seller, and new home builder. Using her podcast, I’ve discovered many bloggers that offer a ton of resources. Now, she’s a bit TOO rehearsed, a bit robotic in her delivery, but I’m definitely not complaining. I’ve learned so much. Thanks for your hard work Cindy.
  • Boston Suburns Homeowner
    Great information!
Thank you Cindy for putting out information about the field of home staging and related topics like interior design, landscape design, etc. This is a great show not just for those looking to put their homes on the market, but any home owner who wants to improve the appearance of their home and also be sensible about time and budget and make good choices. Also, out of curiousity, I found Cindy's home staging portfolio on her website and her work is gorgeous. So check out the show and then check out her work.
  • Seettart23
    Host voice is muffled
Good podcast but I can barely understand the host. She is muffled throughout all the podcasts, yet her guest sound crystal clear. Please fix, very frustrating to listen to.
  • Frustrated in Brooklyn
Informative but she's condescending and insulting.
I stumbled upon this podcast and her blog/staging courses while doing research for my new business venture. I really liked her blog and the info. And While I do like the interviews and information on her podcast, I find Cindy to be super condescending and insulting to what she calls "amateurs". She's rude and must have forgotten that you always have to start somewhere. In the particular episode "home Staging can make or break your sale" with Bobbi McGrath (who I adore) she does this often. And repeatedly talks about "how can a stager not know they need insurance or a contract?" It made me super uncomfortable that she sorta roped Bobbi into speaking this way about Newbie stagers and they went on and on towards the end about how home sellers need to vet their stagers and hire one with experience and extensive knowledge. I find it contradictory to the fact that her goal is to TEACH "amateur" stagers in Hopes that sellers will give you a chance! So you teach them, take their money and tell your audience to hire someone with experience like her? I mean really. "Never forget where you came from" is my motto. That amateur or "hobby stager" may just be stealing your business one day.... Also she says "like" way too much.
  • wiznhunt86
    Absolutely love this podcast!
We don't have home stagers in our market so I found this podcast to help me stage my home for sale and it has been the best experience! I've learned so much and can't say enough great things about this show! What a resource to have! Cindy has a wealth of knowledge as do all her interviewees all from which we can all learn. A must listen to podcast for all potential sellers, buyers, real estate agents and more!

I love this podcast, but the music is driving me crazy. It is the same 5 notes repeated endlessly. Can you change this?
  • LDReid
Very informative for anyone interested in decorating
I really like Cindy's podcast. I am considering a career in interior decorating and I find lots of helpful information here. The guest are exposing me to what the field is really like. I also get the inside scoop on home staging too! It's been very easy to listen to and learn about the field. I really enjoy her podcast.

    I am addicted
Cindy Lin works hard to give her listeners an informative podcast covering home staging plus all kinds of other interesting tips from real estate professionals. Thanks Cindy, I appreciate these great podcasts!
  • CindyWingo
I love the guest interview format
Thank you Cindy for all your hard work and many hours you spend putting this podcast together. I have gained so much knowledge as a home seller, I hope you continue the shows. From the various levels of staging, landscaping, paint and renovations, you and your guests have all been so generous to share their knowledge so that I can get top dollar for my home. Trends change, so please keep podcasting!

    Great Info
Love the insights that your guests provide. It's information that valuable to a wide variety of people form realtors to home owners, sales professionals to seasoned business owners. Thanks for the inspiration!
  • JC in NC
    Absolutely stellar!
I LOVE this show!! The host, Cindy, has a great interviewing style and she brings on guests that really know what they're talking about. If you're interested in home staging, whether it be for selling or renting your property, this is definitely a show to consider. Case(s) in point, Cindy interviewed a photographer, Rich Baum, who had a ton of good advice (no, excellent advice) on how to take photos of your property for lease/sale and he had some great stories on his career in the film & photo industries to boot. I especially enjoyed the story about the Wrangler photoshoot (listen and you'll hear what I'm talking about). She also had a wonderful interview on landscaping & design trends w Patty Hume which was crazy interesting and another show on of all things, Color, (I know, right?!!), and the importance of choosing the right ones for your project. Another of my favs was an interview w Lisa Colalillo from HGTV's "Critical Listing" show, which I've never even heard of as the show doesn't play here in the U.S. I ended finding her show on YouTube (yeah!). The reason that I even mention these episodes in particular is that my following some of the advice enabled me to rent one of my apartment units at the top of our asking price range. The client absolutely swooned over the unit during the showing! This lady's show is making me $$$!! She's recently embarked on a few real estate investing episodes and I can't wait to see what's coming! I seriously enjoyed this show and learned TONS! Highly recommended!!! Lord, I love the Internet:). Please, keep up the great work Cindy!!!

    Mindful clutter clearing
Really enjoyed this podcast. Working with clients on decluttering can be a very emotional time and this was a great discussion on ways to approach and sounds like a super class that is being offered by the guest speaker

    Better than Staging Certificate Courses
i have renovated four houses of my own and staged them for living and then for sale over the last 12 years. I have taken two staging jobs, one completed, one in discussion following a consultation while I decide on a staging certification course. .I have listened to several "sample" cert courses and researched vendors, but have learned more listening to your podcasts. Very practical, on-point and creative. If you offered an online staging certification course, I would sign up for it in a heartbeat. You are a good communicator and convey genuine concern for the consumer. Keep up the good work.
