I absolutely love Listening to this show as I lay down to go to sleep. I just can understand why I hear so much “I don’t know” or “ I have no further info”. I thought that this show would have a final outcome on the episodes. I think that you all need to investigate further to give us all an answer or an outcome. I have a great story that I want to share for you to your show but I just don’t think that you will give my case true justice

I love this podcast and have listened to it for many years. My only issue with is that you either appreciate law enforcement or you drag it through the mud. There are bad doctors, bad teachers, bad service industry employees, etc, etc. I realize case by case the investigations have not been as thorough as you see fit, but when that’s the case you make them all look bad. Regardless, their information gives you a huge piece of what you’re trying to accomplish (JUSTICE), and sometimes you use law enforcement being cooperative to you and turn in into a narrative to make them look terrible. Again, there’s good cops, bad cops, lazy cops, and podcasters who were loved that’s lost the perspective of what they started out to do.

I stumbled upon this podcast when wanting to listen to some true crime and was instantly hooked. I listen to this anytime I’m driving more than 1 hour (and I roadtrip a lot) and even got my parents hooked on it! For those who complain about ads, it’s super easy to just skip past them. 10/10 a great listen

I have been listening to CJ for years and it’s my favorite podcast ever. I love how Ashley and Brit tell each persons story.

I think they have gotten far off course of what they started for. The goal was respectful sharing of survivors and victims in the effort of healing for the family and victim/survivor. These old cases from the 1800s and early early 1900s that seem more like speculation and ghost stories are for pure entertainment and seem to have lost pace with the intention of the show. Some more recent crime would actually serve the original mission and have an impact on the current world.

If you don’t want comments on politics, then don’t bring it up! Stick to true crime and not your opinions. Also, your back and forth commentary sounds so staged. Try to make it sound a little more natural.

Yall this show is legit just ads every 10-15 minutes at this point im done listening to this show since im hearing more ads then actual content 🤷‍♀️ baffling to me that you can give so many ads an still think you’re not a sell out 🤷‍♀️😂

I find it very annoying that you guys try to ride the centrist line too hard. Some episodes you guys are obsessed with cops some you guys are talking about the injustice in our country. Most cases I get so annoyed that absolutely nothing of substance was said, you guys are just taking pieces of other people’s work and calling it your own. Ashley takes all the credit lol, as if she doesn’t have a whole production team behind her.

I love this podcast! I just started listening to it a few weeks ago and now I listen to it everyday! I read some say they unfollowed because of your political views so i followed you! Keep up the good work!

These two are nauseating. They actually believe they are smarter than every murder detective on every case they cover. Brit has the most annoying and useless commentary and she just sounds stupid. They also are very obvious extreme left wing with all their biased and nasty comments about anyone conservative. Most of these comments only show their ignorance about people with different beliefs than them. I don’t trust them at all to cover these cases accurately or fairly. Two dumb dumbs.

My sister got me hooked on this sho. She has listened to it from the start. Since starting i can’t stop listening to episodes❤️.

Ladies, I absolutely LOVE your podcast!! My youngest daughter’s friend recommended I listen to you ladies. From my first listen I was hooked and I am enjoying getting caught up so that I can have something to look forward to each week. I appreciate your candor, thoughts and insights.

I agree with the commentators who say Brit is annoying, I couldn’t ever put my finger on what I found off about this podcast, which for the most part I like, but after I read the comments about her, it came to me that she, Brit, is what takes my 5 star rating down a notch also. And the overuse of the (valley-girl-speak?) LIKE is very annoying. Grow up Brit, and make your voice sound like the adult you obviously are. And Indianapolis, Indiana isn’t even close to like-uh the Valley. I know because I’m in Indiana too, central Indiana.

I love this podcast so very much because I like to use the stories as ideas for my stories and it just makes it even better that women are doing this because most podcasts have those deep manly voices instead of Ashley and Brits beautiful voices!

I love listening to this, but it honestly depends on what you like if you like people doing research then you will like this.

Crime Junkie used to be much better. Now it consistently takes digs at religious or conservative ideas without taking an ounce of reflection that their victims are of likely the same mindset. I do appreciate more crime podcasts cover stories that mainstream news stations do not cover. But between their inability to have some humility and their obvious overdone dramatics, they are a dime a dozen.

I, like many true crime people, started my journey with Serial. I came across this podcast one day about 2 1/2 years ago, and I was instantly hooked. I since have joined the fan club two years in a row at the lowest level (which is still $60), and I now regret that I did so. I have listened to every episode, including all of the fan club ones that are available at my tier. The earlier episodes used to be compelling and easy to follow- they really felt victim centered. I feel like now, it’s much more about their brand than the reason they actually started. Now that I have listened to other podcasts, some which tell some of the same stories, I have realized that Crime Junkie either over-simplify cases or tells them in a convoluted way that make them hard to follow. Although all episodes aren’t like this, I’ve realized that many of the recent ones follow this trend. Many reviews state that they are too political… this is NOT true. Sometimes they bring up facts, like people in the minority often don’t get the same treatment as their White, middle+ class counterparts… this isn’t political, this is just the truth. I will still support this podcast until I can’t, but no longer will I support financially unless something changes. I even got VIP tickets coming up to their live show, so I really hope that’s worth it. Also, for the first year that I was in the fan club, I listened to basically all of the bonus content for my level. Now in my second year, I have no more bonus content to listen to, so the only real “perk” is the episode on Fridays instead of Mondays and monthly bonus content (which hasn’t even seemed to come consistently). Not worth $60. I can say, however, that this podcast has taught me so many life lessons. I wouldn’t say that I live my life in fear, but I definitely have been more vigilant and take preventative measures to protect myself. I really hope that they can get this show back on its original track. It really hasn’t changed for the better.

I find her co pilot annoying. Her affectation reminds me of a high schooler. The constant use of Like is exasperating! And the fake shock response is a bit much. Ashley is better off solo.

I do understand some of the things other people say about the show, but I like it. One thing I will say is that both of them rarely give a stance from police. It is often just the things said about cops, but I have never heard them defend a cop.

The show is so addicting but man I am getting tired of the commercials there are so many more throughout the show than there used to be and it’s starting to ruin the show for me!

This podcast is okay. If it were just the main chick with facts and none of the whatever the cohost is doing, I could stand this show. I also wish it were just facts and cases. The Karen Read case deserves better reporting. This is a case I have been following since John O’Keefe’s murder. Turtleboy is part of the reason we are all talking about this case, thank god. This podcast is amazing and I listen to it everyday. The podcast has made me think about really life and I feel like now I realize that life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows because of your podcast.

The cases they cover are interesting but I wish these ladies would listen to themselves and count how many times they say “like.” It’s grating and takes away from their storytelling.. You don’t hear this when they narrate ads for their sponsors though.

I want to give this show 5 stars but I can’t because of Brit. She constantly is interrupting Ashley in crucial details and creates her own outlandish theory that steers the audience away from what is important. Most of her theories never make sense and Ashley always has to make her understand what is happening without her getting there on her own. I think she’s part of the problem why these cases haven’t been solved due to her not looking at the bigger picture and slandering people based on minor details. So for these reason you should consider another co-host or maybe doing it solo.

I have listened since the beginning, and you can tell the brand has gotten too big for them, they do give political opinions and anyone who says they don’t is just oblivious, I honestly don’t care much about that because people are entitled to differing views and it’s their podcast they can do what they want. But the podcast it’s self has become kinda meh, you can tell the research is lacking, they are hyper critical of police (as if they could do the job) the story telling has become a bit hard to follow, not sure what is happening but maybe Ashley has too much on her plate to give cases on this show the full attention the deserve

Used to be a decent podcast. Between the childish middle school banter (example, “OMG, like I can’t believe it, it’s like so scary”) and the infusion of their political views, it’s become incredibly lame. Every time I try to come back and give it another chance, I cringe within the first minute and remember why I stopped listening.

So my cousin did the capital dance and since I don’t have any social media apps I can’t post this on Instagram or TikTok so I’m just gonna post it on a podcast so it’s really funny because this is revenge. I’m not gonna tell you why but it’s revenge.

These podcast are so life like, If it’s the people gone missing or the who did this crime junkie is the most detailed podcasts of true crime.

Stopped listening to Morbid because of the political diatribe, and I’m on my way to stop listening to this too. Read the room.

Not only is this podcast something everyone should listen to, but especially women. You hear about so many cases that show red flags to look for, scenarios of truly always sticking to your gut, and listening to these stories help you become more aware of your surroundings at all times! I recommend to all my friends/coworkers/family- as everyone should!

How is this show so well rated? The writing is very poor. The hosts say “like”, “or whatever,” “for sure” repeatedly. Brit in particular comes across as a total dingbat and has no reason to be there at all. And don’t get me started on their intentionally getting emotional...bah! It’s so disingenuous. I also find their excessive confidence and sense of self-importance downright offensive.

It used to be my favorite, but lately it’s been so-so. The cases aren’t as interesting, too political, etc
