    A healing voice
There are people who bring healing that goes beyond medicine, and Lee is one of them. His insider's view of cancer, combined with his compassionate and reassuring voice is a gift to anyone going through this journey. The insights and experiences of the guests he interviews are inspiring and real - just what the doctor ordered to help you stay strong of mind, heart and spirit while your body is regaining its health.

This Is An Incredible Gift To All Cancer Survivors
Lee's show is a fantastic resource and an incredible gift to ALL survivors, as well as their families, friends, medical staff, and support systems. His gentle, velvety voice is soothing and inviting and he builds great rapport with his guests, even when talking about some of the scariest and otherwise most off-putting of topics.

    Inspirational, educational and valuable
Lee does a fantastic job sharing about a serious difficult topic--having colon cancer. Honestly this podcast is for anyone either who has cancer, has a family member or friend with cancer, of just to educate yourself about this disease. Sooner or later we come across someone who has cancer and it is difficult for anyone how to handle it. Lee and his guests provide valuable information on how to help someone, support them, understand it, and live with it. Thank you!

Real people telling real stories of hope
I think what makes this podcast so effective is Lee Silverstein's approachable interviewing style. He manages to extract a lot of great and useful information without pressure. He makes his guests feel at ease and comfortable while letting them tell their stories. And the fact that he can empathize with his guests certainly adds to his credibility. Keep up the great work Lee! We as patients appreciate what you are creating here!

    Wonderful Resource!
I wish this podcast existed when I was first diagnosed. It's amazing to feel connected to people who have been touched by colorectal cancer via a podcast. I can relate to every story and each story teaches me something new. Awesome job, Lee!

A must for every cancer patient
There are a number of sources of information about cancer and more specifically GI cancers and Colon cancer, but this is my favorite. It fully complements the “hard” sources of info that one can get from medical literature. On this program you get to hear a wonderful host interview people who have faced truly tough challenges who explain how they get through it all. We get to hear about the different therapies and how they can be tolerated (or not!), and how people had both good and bad engagements with care providers. You don’t get medical advice, but here you get ways to get better medical advice. You don’t just get the rah-rah we can beat it stuff, but rather the host, Lee Silverstein, deftly leads us through people’s stories emphasizing coping strategies, relevant experience and helpful information from the patient perspective. For example, what the modern radiation treatments are like (far more tolerable than in the old days), the value of second opinions and challenging doctor recommendations, and the advantages of working with physicians that accommodate you fully as a part of the decision making team. This is good stuff for anybody with cancer, not just colon cancer.

    Colon Cancer’s Healing Space
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing host Lee Silverstein on a professional and social level and was delighted to learn of his idea to convert his private struggles into a healing platform for others. Lee’s podcast is a gift to anyone affected directly - or indirectly - by colon cancer. From the very opening of each episode, listeners can tune in and immediately recognize that they’ve entered into a safe haven. Lee’s emotional intelligence combines with his trustworthy and gentle nature, inviting fellow colon cancer survivors to share their intimate and inspiring stories. This podcast series creates a space for community, inspiration and hope. It’s a gift to anyone needing to hear it and I highly recommend it as a share.

    Inspirational!
I am currently battling Stage IV Colorectal Cancer. At the age of 33 doctors have little optimism for my future, given the extent of my disease. Hearing the stories of survivors is inspiring and gives me hope. Thank you, Lee for making this happen.

    So inspirational!
Thank you for sharing stories of hope and inspiration. When I was diagnosed stage IV I didn't think there was hope, and as I've met more long term survivors, as I become one, I hope we can all give hope to those who don't have any. Loved your story and Anita's! Just amazing! Keep on filling up the radio waves with love and hope! We will conquer this disease :)

Finally a resource to help all of us!
My father recently was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and needed a resource like this one. Luckily for me Lee is a good friend and was very helpful in getting me the information I needed. Really excited to share this podcasts with others that are in need of this information. Respectfully, Chris K. PS. My dad recently had a clean diagnosis after his Chemo.

    Important Information
Great information, important stuff. The best part, it's from someone who's "been there, survived that." Cancer touched us all in one way or another, and it's great to hear from someone on the "front lines."

    The Colon Cancer Podcast
This is really an incredible podcast! The topic of cancer is so emotional and Lee Silverstein presents himself in a very personal manner which makes it very engaging as well as informative. Lee creates an immediate connection, with the listener, and begins by telling his own story in a vulnerable way. I can imagine that he will be a very thoughtful interviewer with future podcasts and i very much look forward to hearing them.
