    Blessing!
I’m so thankful to be able to listen-in to the great teaching, questions and conversations. It’s been a wonderful way to learn and be encouraged to take the steps to connect with my local Orthodox Church.

    Biblical insights revealed
This show is super rich in truth and wisdom. I learn something in every episode and I’m quite familiar with the Bible. Many times I have learned something profound and I consider this one of the top podcasts on Bible study and scriptural teachings. Fr. Evans other podcast is awesome, too, especially for those who want to learn about Orthodoxy and the mindset of an Orthodox Christian.

    A Treasury of Information
I have listened to Transforming Our Lives podcasts for years. As a cradle Orthodox Christian with very few resources in English growing up, I have learned so much about precious Orthodoxy by listening to these podcasts. Fr. Evan’s depth of knowledge is unsurpassed by his peers. Not only does he bring the Gospels alive, he provides valuable practical information. I highly recommend these podcast series to anyone interested in Christianity, Orthodoxy - inquirer or cradle. You will not be disappointed. I pray that Fr. Evan continues these lectures for the benefit of all. P.S. - the Bible study group members ask brilliant questions creating a lively dynamic. In Christ+++ Kathryn (Kyriake)

Glory to God for this podcast!
A step by step journey through the Gospel and life of the Church with a real group of real people dealing with real issues. May God grant father Evan wisdom to guide us in this endeavor.

Amazing (dare I say transformative) podcast!
My wife and I started listening to Fr. Evan (this podcast and others) while we were catechumens, with the recommendation of our priest, Fr. Tom Tsagalakis. Since then Fr. Evan's voice has become a regular part of our lives. I will often say things like, "yesterday Fr. Evan said that..." as though I had been in there in the conversation. Thank you so much for your and your group's tenacity; my wife and I are floored that this study has been going on since 2009(?) with Matthew! God bless you all for not only bringing the Holy Gospel to us, but for shining so much light upon the Scriptures by gathering in faith and love (and painstakingly recording each session and making them all available to the world). P.S. My wife and I were received into the Church a month ago, my wife by baptism and myself by chrismation. Thank you Fr. Evan and everyone for the part you've played in bringing us home. Glory to God!

    Great Group
Father Evan and his Bible study group continually reveal new facets of the gospels to me. I recommend this podcast very highly. One piece at a time, you will learn more background than you thought possible in Scripture. And, of course, there are the tangents. But those are no less enjoyable.

Join the Family of St. Spyridon
If you want to understand the Bible more deeply or if you’re curious about the Ancient Faith of Orthodox Christianity, you will be captured by Father Evan’s teaching. Listeners will come to know the people of this intimate group of seeking believers. They ask the questions you were hoping to ask. I listen to these podcasts more than once and always glean new insights to apply to my life. Highly recommend!!!

    Informative and inspirational
I appreciate the ministry of Fr. Evan so much. He is one of my primary sources for answering my questions about walking out the Orthodox Christian life. Learning from him has been a joy and a great help to my understanding of the Gospels and my healing as a Christian. I highly recommend all of his podcasts!

    Continuing Catechism
I love this bible study! As a newly baptised parishoner, this has been a beautiful way to continue my catechism. Thank you so much Fr. Evan and the lovely people at St. Spyradon!

Father Evan is full of insight
Father Evan's depth of understanding is incredible and the way he carefully and mindfully attempts to stay on track is appreciated. The group listening and asking questions is both helpful and entertaining.

A Wonderful trip through the Gospels
My wife and I would never miss a podcast from Father Evan. He is warm, knowledgable, and best of all committed to the Gospel message. Not only does he explain in detail what is going on in the text, he explains why the different gospels were written the way they were, and what was involved in the original Greek. His lectures are a treasure trove of learning, we are SO glad we found him!

    Robust, Sober--and Funny, Too
As another reviewer noted, this is a "robust and sober" study of the Gospels, but I also enjoy how, well, funny it is at times--not "funny" as in a comedy act, but "funny" in the sense that both the speaker and the listeners (these recordings are of talks given within a parish setting) clearly have a strong affection for one another and for the subject matter that spills into joy and even humor at times. This series has been a welcome companion during Lent, and I look forward to following it afterward as well.

    Rich and useful
The most robust and sober study on the gospels I've ever heard. Wading slowly through the text you learn in beautiful detail not only about the text, but it's comprehensive application to our daily lives.

    Enjoyable
I'm a lifelong church-attendee and that said, I've been to many Bible classes! I've learned more in the last year or so from this Bible Study than decades before. There's no rushing to finish a topic (quite the contrary). I'm hoping that I live long enough to get through the Gospels!!!
