EncouragedtooPlain and Simple GoldI've been considering homeschooling for a while but having always had a playbook for my own education, untethering from the system seems scary. With their conversational style Hank and Sherry make this podcast easy to follow and take a lot of fear out of the prospect of homeschooling. Their advice is sound and practical, coming from their own personal experience. They may sound more *Christian* than some listeners but hey, if we learned only from those of our own stripes, life would be pretty dull!

Lindy/OklahomaCan't wait for more episodes.I just wanted to let you know that I have a special needs child too and it just touched my heart to know that there are parents out there that are loving as you both are and are able to educate your children at home. I have stuggled in the past not know what to teach him or my little girl since they so different from one another. Since his sister is not special needs not knowing were to start with my son was hard, his autism really is a challenge at times. Its wonderful to know that even when challenged with homeschooling that parents like you inspire me to learn more about what I can so that I can teach them better.

Mama Bee LisaVery Helpful!I'm VERY new to homeschooling. These podcasts have been very helpful to me in terms of where to start as well as ideas on how to do things... what to focus on, etc. it's a conservative Christian podcast, which is fine by me. I might not try to mimic everything they do, but it does provide interesting ideas that I can apply to my own family. Keep up the greatt work!

Homeschooler in GermanyChrist centered homeschoolThis is a uplifting, informative podcast. I listen to it while I clean house and get our home ready for our homeschool day. We are a military family currently residing in Germany, so any online support I can get is extremely welcome. I'd like to hear more curriculum reviews, because I'm not able to attend conferences and "see" what is available.

BlessedMommaNJust what I neededI am so happy to have found this podcast. I have enjoyed listening to Hank and Sherry for the past couple of weeks and I am almost caught up through all their recordings. Listening to their tips and ideas is great. I have gleaned quite a bit, and the things I have heard before are very encouraging reminders. I love our yearly homeschool convention for a sort of "shot in the arm" to encourage me, and listening to Hank and Sherry makes me feel the same way. Thank you for making this available, I look forward to hearing more. God Bless!

TinamamaIf you are a conservative Christian, you will like this podcastBut a big word of warning to non-Christians and non-Conservatives...this family seems to represent every stereotype out there of homeschoolers being far-right conservative Christians who's wives are submissive to their husbands and kids are taught obedience and biblical theory first and foremost. They also mention not only that they follow the teachings of Gary Ezzo (someone whom should be thoroughly researched on the net, especially at ezzo.info before diving into )...and one of their favorite field trips is to The Creation Museum. So if you are ok with all of the above, you'll have no problem with this podcast. For that audience, I can see this podcast being absolutely a benefit, as they do seem to cover the basics of homeschooling well, and looks like they are going to be talking about some good resources. If, however, you are a non-Christian, or find the teachings of Gary Ezzo appalling...be warned.
