    In The Trenches
Nice to see a person actually applying thinking to ideas and not just rambling about the podcasters own perspective. I also appreciate the care about the environment. Overall worth a listen.

  • Save The Nature Coast
Exactly what I was looking for!
Hunting, fishing, camping, trail running, bird watching, mountain biking, kayaking you name it. If it’s outdoors related I’m into it. As an avid outdoorsman and native Floridian I feel deeply connected to our green spaces and trying protect them. There’s a reason I live just minutes from several WMA, WEAs and preserves right here in north Hernando County on the edge of the Florida Wildlife Corridor. I listen to several hunting podcasts that do a good job covering conservation but I’ve always wanted a podcast that was only about conservation in Florida and went more in depth. There’s other nature podcast in Florida but this definitely seems like the most conservation oriented podcast. Love it! Keep them coming! #SaveTheNatureCoast

    Great podcast!
I love learning more about my state. I’m a regular listener of the Adventure Sports Podcast, and I think it’s really cool that Mason started this series.

    Myakka
Hey Mason You and Miri did a great job pointing out what a beautiful place Myakka State Park is however there was no mention of what terribly wrong with the park. I’ve been going to the park for over 50 yrs. My mom has been going there since the 1940s. When we were kids we would wade fish across lower and upper lake and catch Bass. The water was crystal clear. Now with all the herbicide being sprayed the lake is a big muddy puddle. Instead of Bass you catch Talapia. All of that gets carried down river into Charlotte Harbor. All for $$$. I think it got worse when they put outboards on their airboats. Outboards don’t like vegetation. There’s lots of cool history related to the part too. Look up Baby Snooks and Allen Crowley. Don’t get me wrong, the podcast is great but we can’t turn a blind eye to what’s going on in this state.

    Home Sweet Florida
I’m so excited for the next episodes! Growing up in Florida, I never really appreciated the wealth of natural landscapes around me. As an adult, I’m way more appreciative of my surroundings but it’s great to learn more about HOW these gorgeous places came to exist and what we are doing and can keep doing to protect them. #stayhereforever

Deep dive into real Florida conservation
As a state Florida has had a very unique history since before it was discovered. In my opinion a much more interesting start than the rest of the states in our country. A majority of that history has been how people have been abusing and changing the land to fit their needs. But during all this change and history Cowboys and Florida crackers have been a strong hold and strong proponent for keeping Florida wild. It’s one of the few industries that are a benefit to nature and the first episode that Mason takes us on let’s us hear about how modern Florida rangers are still so closely tied to the conservation of Florida. Thank you Mason for creating a podcast on such an important topic!
