Thoughtful analysis and a wonderful title sequence

Maybe it’s because I’m a golf junkie and watch almost every professional tournament on both the PGA Tour and LIV, but I found this podcast much more entertaining than the actual Netflix show it covers. It’s probably owing to the fact that I’ve already seen much of it happen in real time, but I find the analysis of this podcast far more compelling and actually humorous. Every episode made me laugh and brought up things I initially overlooked. Good stuff!

I love the other channels that Fried egg has but this has way too much whining about the series. They complain way more than actual giving insight about the episodes. Season 2 of this pod was really hard to get through.

I love having a recap for each episode of Full Swing as I like to watch only one or two episodes at a time. As a diehard listener of the Shotgun Start, I always appreciate Brendan’s humor and I enjoy the different perspective that Joseph brings to this. Love hearing their thoughts on all the big and little moments of each episode.

Liked this podcast series and also liked the Netflix series. I am a big golf fan. I was trying to put myself into the casual fan or newcomer position. Watching Drive to Survive turned me from a newcomer to a fan. The Netflix series piqued my interest but it was the F1 television product that turned me into a fan. That is what golf needs to somehow fix. Their television product remains poor. It still cannot turn someone with piqued interest into a committed fan. The tour still has much work to do.

I found the analysis somewhat helpful as a newcomer to the sport but these hosts lacked diversity of perspective in a way that was almost distracting. They emphasize all the classic straight white man tropes. One thing that really bugged me was they refer to the wife by name when it came to thin white women but for Joel and Tony - they referred to their wives as “the wife”. It came off like they didn’t bother to learn their names. Similarly, they perpetuated the toxic masculinity trope regarding emotional expression. Brooks and his ego being tied to his performance in a toxic way is not an emotional impactful story. The only comment that needed to be said about that episode is brooks needs a therapist. Yet the hosts went on and on and on and on and on about how compelling the Brooks episode was. Overall, it wasn’t awful, but consider adding diversity to the panel of hosts.

Lots of great insight and good laughs

Good show. Lamagna had some awful takes though. Gets super nit picky on something and then will contradict himself a sentence later.

Excellent show by the fried egg guys. I especially enjoyed the addition of Lamagna to the usual suspects. While watching the episodes there were many “I can’t wait to hear their take on this” moments which added another dimension to the show viewing experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 episodes. Can’t wait to listen to the others. Brendan and Andy are a familiar voice that I trust with all things golf and the addition of Lamagna fits in seamlessly. Well Done!

A great accompaniment to the show. I’ve listened to the pod after every episode before I watch the next one. Makes the experience better.

The only reason why I watched Full Swing was to listen to this bonus podcast. Save yourself some time, no need to watch, just listen to this instead

I haven’t listened yet but anything these idiots put out make this idiot happy.
