Listening to her podcasts has helped me not feel lost, and have hope through this podcasts! Between interviews with her clients to other clinical professionals, you feel comfort in your journey! Her podcasts are to the point and are REAL!!!

Szabes94MAJOR recovery boostI felt so alone in the depths of my recovery from hypothalamic amenorrhea. I questioned myself all the time: Am I doing enough to get my period back? Am I weird for thinking and feeling these things? Can I eat more and still do HIIT training? The ugly truth is that very few medical professionals know what HA is and how to treat it properly. So when you find an HA expert who knows exactly what you’re going through (not only on a physical level but also on an emotional level), pay attention. Cynthia’s podcast has given my HA recovery a mega boost. It’s worth a listen.

I have learned so much from this podcast and it has inspired me in my personal journey to regain my period. Lindsey also has some information on how to support others going through HA and I especially loved the episode on the pelvic floor. I hope she continues doing this for many more years. Would recommend to anyone with a uterus!

PNWkennaPeriod RecoveryI found Cynthia on social media as I was in the process of getting a diagnosis for HA and RED-S ( relative energy deficiency in sport) because I am young (23) doctors always brushed off my absent period to being young and growing, and although true I knew deep down was not the only answer! After finally receiving a diagnosis her social media accounts became a constant source of encouragement and support for me as I worked toward recovery! Although I didn’t work with Cynthia directly, her accounts and resources were absolutely essential in my recovery! I felt better equipped to talk with my health care team and nutritionist! My own recovery followed right in line with everything Cynthia talks about! The information she is sharing is real, helpful and evidence based! I think every health care professional and anyone struggling with absent periods as it relates to HA should give her a listen and check out her social media!

Not only did I get my period back after missing it for ~10 years, but I’m PREGNANT and have a MUCH healthier relationship with food and exercise. Iluvthisgamesomuch123qqqJust what I needed!After 14 years on the birth control pill, I came off of it two months before my wedding figuring I’d be all set to start trying for a baby right after the wedding. Little did I know, I didn’t even get a real period after coming off the pill. At 12% body fat I knew I had to make a change. After a 1:1 zoom call with Cynthia, she gave me the tools I needed to make a lifestyle change. Eating more, exercising less, led to a positive pregnancy test just two months after our wedding. I’m now a Mom to a 4 month old baby boy and loving life and FOOD! Can’t thank Cynthia enough for her support & all the information she shares and the realities of a missing period.

KayteekinsSpeaking the things more women NEED to hear!Cynthia’s support, encouragement, and education are immeasurable. There are too few voices on social media and in society speaking up about period recovery, normalizing eating ENOUGH, and supporting women in stepping away from the pressures of image. Having a podcast like this is another way Cynthia will help even more women recover their period - just because losing your period to over exercising/under eating is common, doesn’t mean it’s normal or okay. Being one of those people, it’s been a massive struggle to reframe my self image, habits around eating, food guilt/anxiety, etc but following Cynthia and being a client of hers has helped more than I could ever explain. I’m not fully healed, but considering I now keep all kinds of carbs in my home, will let myself eat out and have fun, and look forward to restaurants instead of stressing over the menu ahead of time speaks volumes. So excited for her to reach more women (and other people who support and love women in period recovery)!
