MCMSparky***Rough Cut***🌟👏🏽🌟👏🏽🌟👏🏽❤️❤️👍🏽🌟🙏🏽🌟JB and Alain are two beautiful souls who will entertain you, educate you, and inspire your creativity. Today, I submit a new review and give Rough Cut a well-deserved five-star rating🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Rough Cut is the podcast that opened many windows to jewelers, designers, and creative individuals. That reminds me of the importance of art and beauty. You will not go wrong making Rough Cut a must-listen podcast for yourself. Thank you to JB and Alain; God bless, and I wish you much success. 👏🏽👏🏽❤️👍🏽👍🏽❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

rissako7I found my jewelry people.Wow, the July 24th episode was phenomenal and necessary. It’s important to discuss how the political is personal and how it affects individuals in our community. It was considerate to give listeners the caveat if they don’t want to hear about politics, but I hope people didn’t skip this. Discussions like this are how we understand each other better and get the perspective to move forward rather than backwards. And guess what… if we move backwards, we won’t have the time, energy, or resources to spend on jewelry!

MlpeticoA gem of a podcast. As a jewelry enthusiast and occasional designer/ curator, I love this podcast. It’s informative and entertaining. The chemistry between Alain and JB is so fun. Lovely listening! Highly recommend. Ps Taller (pronounced Tie-er) is Spanish for workshop.

KelselizaSo grateful for these gems & pearls.I love listening to this amazing podcast. Jb and Alain are truly wondrous people and I feel so supported and comforted after listening to each episode. Like a fresh breath of air. Like a warm summer breeze. Like finally a podcast about things I care about. Their guests are also people I admire so it’s really a win for anyone to listen to but particularly those who are in the jewelry world. I love to clean my studio while I listen and pretend I have lots of friends. Thank you for this. <3

RjhjewelWitty jewelry reparteeHave really been enjoying the witty repartee, obvious fun, and insights you can glean by spending a bit of time with JB and Alain. They have turned my attention to new makers and businesses I wasn’t aware of- so far the episode with founders of BOND hardware really stood out. Love the discussion of ethics and intent.

CechandlerA True Diamond in the Rough of Jewelry PodcastsI have been listening to Rough Cut for a while now, and am ENTHRALLED. The conversations held between JB Jones and Alain Simic, along with their guests, are insightful, playful, and incredibly relevant for today’s jewelry industry (and refreshingly devoid of any sales pitches). Though they are based in NYC, and much of the reference points are driven by NYC’s jewelry industry, many of the broader topics explored are relevant no matter where in the world you live or work. I particularly love that neither host is actually a jeweler (but they each work with jewelers frequently) because it lends a fresh perspective to many of the pains that plague our industry. Their broader experience also lends interesting insight from the perspectives of say photography or fashion. There is humor punctuating each episode, contrasting with deeper revelations, and I find myself laughing aloud frequently. JB and Alain, you are both truly GEMS, and I am so grateful for this venture that started as a lark and has turned into something much greater. Shine on, dear ones ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
