This podcast was better than the AJLT series! Why haven’t they done any episodes for season 2?

Please review more shows! Enjoyed listening to Dara and Phil weekly, they’re a fun duo with great insights and chemistry. Thank you both for a great podcast to geek out about SATC & AJLT.

Ok, I was feeling SO alone after watching And Just Like That (AJLT) because as it happens I have grown apart from all my STC friends from back in the day and then saw purewow article about your podcast and immediately searched. I no longer feel alone! And I just wanted to jump right into your conversation about ep 1 & 2. Your guys are true superfans without being sycophants so perfect balance. Count me in as a ride or die listener who will now schedule eps and then your pod into my iphone. Please do instagram lives so that we can chat with you!!!! I am going to miss your podcast more than AJLT. Please please find another show to review until next AJLT season! You made me laugh and shout “exactly!” so many time. Love you both.

Dara and Phil~ I sincerely enjoy listening to this fabulous podcast. I can honestly say I looked forward to your podcast episode releases as much and the actual show episode releases. I love the magnificent balance of light hearted and funny, and deep and thought provoking. I hope you continue to do these podcasts if there is a season 2 of And Just Like That!

Love this podcast! Makes the show so much more interesting all the things the hosts notice and I didn’t realize I noticed too until they mention it!

Ok so I’m not the biggest fan of this reboot but Dara…. let Phil speak for gods sake!! You constantly interrupt him and speak over him. It’s annoying! You have nothing nice to say ever. Phil seems to have an opinion and then quickly change his an opinion when Dara disagrees. Which is also annoying!

Hey! I’ve really enjoyed listening to the podcast! I actually download the new podcast episode after watching the new episodes every Thursday, and it makes a great companion piece… I’ve tried listening to the podcast Michael Patrick King and the other writers of the show have but they don’t really want to critique their work and I have enjoyed both of your examinations of these characters/storylines. So far… which I guess I can’t say “so far” any more because it is the last of this season… series?… I’ve been disappointed, I think the best episode was the hip surgery episode but I’m not a fan of Che and that whole storyline. I just want it to end and not come back if this series gets another season. I thought there was a HUGE missed opportunity to bring back Carrie’s narration during that episode where she was writing her book. I was anticipating that her narration would pop back in because she was writing again, but nope! I think it’s been somewhat nice to see these characters walking around and talking again but I don’t feel the involvement of the actresses as executive producers did any favors, it’s just sad they probably wouldn’t have come back if they didn’t have that involvement. I think the biggest lesson or message I’ll be taking from this series is that actors should act, and not have full control over their characters and the storylines. Going to miss hearing your after thoughts! And I’ll definitely come back and listen should this rollercoaster of And Just Like That… fail to derail. Lol!

I’m shocked people are criticizing you guys for being too critical because you’re not critical enough.

Fixed the name to be more accurate. The hosts are opposed to all of the conflict in the show. They dont want to see Carrie struggle with the loss of her husband. They don’t want to see Charlotte struggle with personally being affected by having a non-binary child. Etc, etc. And the examples of what they dont want to see all lack conflict. They don’t seem to know anything about storytelling. They should have saved their time and cancelled this podcast when they realized they hate the show.

This is funny but also makes watching the show more thought-provoking

And just like that… I have a new favorite podcast! Dara and Phil have a fun, witty repartee and deeply love these characters. What more can you ask for?

I listen every Friday with a friend. Takes over an hour with pausing for our discussion lol — love it. Keep up the fabulous work.

The thing that bothers me more about every episode……why do they look and act so old? My friends and I are the same age and we look nothing like them! Between hearing aids and hip replacement - they all come across like they are in their 70’s. They don’t have any fun!

Do they even like the show? I think they should just watch old reruns of Sex in the City because they seem to think that no one should change and evolve as they get older. 🤷‍♀️

I understand you are critiquing the show but obviously you hate it. So I’m now listening to a podcast where the show hosts hate the show they’re podcasting about. What’s fun about that? Personally, I love AJLT. The characters I’ve loved for years are back and I relate to them again just like I did when I was in my thirties. Maybe you need to be in your fifties to appreciate the show. There is a GREAT podcast that the writers of AJLT are doing and it’s awesome. The hosts of this show should listen to that one so they will understand the episodes better. I truly think they just don’t get it.

I really enjoyed this! The presenters give really good insights about the episode that I hadn’t thought about.

If Che was a man people would be talking about him WAY worse, she was largely ignored for her narcissistic creeper who thinks doing drugs everywhere is "cool" Also no way to regret I hate Che the main reason ppl hate her is because she's written as a "charismatic" "cool" the best thing since bread that even Charlotte is dreaming about her 🙄🙄🙄🙄😂👀🙄😂🙄 so fake and unrealistic and that's not going to magically be changed No awareness at all just doubling down on writing Steve as a 90 old with no hearing, memory, sex appeal just to have Miranda be rooted on for cheating The whole show 458999 bad plot devices

Too ridiculous for 2022 mindsets. I’m kind of depressed by the characters.

I think the portrayal of 55 year old women is totally off base. Miranda needs help getting up because her leg is asleep! Really!

I like that the two presenters don’t necessarily agree with each other and at times I don’t agree with either of them but I still see what they mean. Love this podcast as a follow up to each episode.

You guys are great, but I canceled HBO Max because the show is so terrible. Cannot anymore!

If you want to listen to two people complain that a “brand new show” isn’t the same like the original show, this is the podcast for you! Watching these characters in their 50’s doesn’t mean they will be doing or acting the same like they did in their 30s. People evolve & change (for good or bad) & this show is doing a good job with trying to stay true to the characters in their 30s, yet showing how different they are now & how the world is. A lot of us changed & questioned a lot after the first lockdown & the riots that took place in our world during that time. Appreciating this next chapter of the Sex & the city world is watching it with “evolved eyes” & not Rosé colored “Sex & the city” glasses.

I love this podcast so much. I like how Dara and Phil don’t shy away from saying what they think-even if it is controversial. I just wish the episodes of the pod were longer. They go by too fast.

I’m glad I found this Podcast. Love the back and forth with Dara and Phil. Their interaction is fun and insightful. They don’t always agree which makes it very interesting because it provides two different perspectives that viewers may also have. How many of wish we had podcasts back in the original SATC run?! So glad we have it now!

Love the Pod! Loyal SATC superfan here and I have to say I love everything about this podcast. They’re honest about it which is hard to find. I especially love Dara’s takes and analysis. She’s so smart and funny and is basically saying everything going through my head when I’m watching haha. After every ep I go straight to this pod. So good.

If I didn’t have this pod to make me lol at chia seeds and Steve and the Brady-Samantha theory, I’d be as sad as a shower-soaked manolo blahnik.

Some great hot takes argued by Dara & Phil. Don't agree with all of them, but it's a fun and fresh and looking forward to next week already.

I enjoy listening to your perspective on the new show. However, I think it’s kind of silly that you’re expecting 55 year old women to be in the exact same place they were in the previous show. It’s a completely different show and I think it’s unfair to the characters and the writing and the storyline to continuously put it down because it isn’t exactly like sex and the city. It isn’t sex and the city.I think if you were to re-watch with a fresh mindset of it’s a brand new show, maybe you would find more enjoyment in it. I personally am loving the new show. I love the maturity in the characters, and yet how so many aspects of their personalities stay the same. I will continue to listen because I think your banter is fun, but I find myself disagreeing with so much because it isn’t the same show and it’s unfair to the writers to continuously expect it to be the same.

Couldn’t disagree more with her review of episode 3. I’m guessing she’s around 30 yrs old or younger. If so, that explains a lot.

…but I still enjoy your podcast. 1) you’ve been complaining about no sex and no city in the show - let’s be clear - the show is not called Sex & the City anymore. And they changed the title on purpose. 2) I’m so curious how old you two are….. People do age significantly in their 50s..all the age references ring true to form for people in their 50s. 3) As a woman who is the same age as these ladies and loved SATC - I’m loving the new show - it rings true to people my age. 4) I agree that some of the exposition is clunky - but people my age are clunky when it comes to topics like non-binary, etc. 5) Love listening to you being wrong - keep it up!

I forgot about this show and now I’m rewatching and taking in everything SATC. These two are so funny! I feel like they’re doing the same. Big fan !

I really enjoyed the podcast but you guys did miss points like the fact that Carrie was somewhat prudish like when she walked in on Samantha with the UPS guy.All in all I thought it was a fun podcast.

Lovin’ these two! Phil and Dara are clearly SATC stans, and all the little Easter eggs they point out have me wanting to back and watch the episodes again! Super funny stories and opinions, as well as really thoughtful observations. Highly recommend!

I never really got into The original iteration of SATC. However, I do love an evolving origin story! The Samantha/Kim - Carrie/Sarah saga has been my cardio for years! Phil and Dara have great chemistry and their love of everything SATC makes me want to binge the original series as well as Watch AJLT. Looking forward to all the tea/insight Phil and Dara have to share!

None of my friends have HBO max so I was excited to discover this podcast where I can rehash each episode. Love it.

I really don’t think they are talking about the dead of a beloved character as something that had to be done. I understand they want a new storyline but that seems callous and uncalled for

You both talk way too fast!!! If you can’t get all you want to say in the time slotted, please add time so you can talk slower and we can understand better. I feel like this is a 33 1/3rpm record that is set on 45rpm (dating myself here).

First episode in and I am so glad I found you! You mentioned everything I was thinking EXCEPT Stanford♥️♥️ it was so good seeing him…knowing he is no longer on this earth. Thanks for a great, realistic review without any politics…just real life analysis!!
