This podcast was exactly the kind I was looking for. I love love the short format of it because I can listen and finish to one episode as I get ready in the morning or during commute. The topics are so interesting and varied! I would love to hear more about places in Taiwan, I loved the Taiping Mountain episode!

Great podcast for learning Taiwanese Mandarin

Miss Lina’s podcast is a unique resource for those wanting to learn the specific nuances of the Mandarin spoken in Taiwan. Her materials are clear and well thought out, and incorporate modern, casual terms and slang that are so helpful, especially around technology and social media culture and other very useful conversational matter. I have looked a long time for this kind of resource but they are few and far between. Thanks to Miss Lin for filling this gap in such a professional and useful way. And fun too!

Helped me socialize

I’ve been living in Taiwan for a year, and Miss Lin’s podcast were, and still are, a big help for my overall life here. It is quite difficult to find Taiwan-oriented learning material online, so Miss Lin’s podcast is a godsend to people trying to speak more naturally and to understand locals. I have a better understanding of the meaning and reasons behind many (seemingly obscure) Taiwanese reactions, and I always get positive reactions when I use a local wording she mentioned before. Thank you Miss Lin for helping me socialize and improve my quality of life in Taiwan!

I’m trying to improve my mandarin before visiting Taiwan later this year. It has been 10 years since I last learned and spoke mandarin. I don’t have anyone to practice with, but think Miss Lin does a great job speaking clearly and I can slow down the speed to try and understand better. I have a long ways to go, but listening to her conversations is very helpful! I like learning more about people’s experiences and Taiwanese culture… special phrases. I think this will help me when traveling and it will be good to immerse myself a little bit before going to be more confident.

Truly one of a kind

I’d been following Miss Lin on Instagram for some time before realizing she has a podcast. The way she provides information is in very approachable, bite-sized, and logical ways. I love the authenticity (I’m Taiwanese-American!) and she is the real deal. Please keep the episodes coming!

Another awesome resource to up your Mandarin Chinese listening skills, with a focus on Taiwanese Mandarin. Love Miss Lin and how she teaches on YouTube and here on her podcast. Her Chinese pronunciation is so clear and I love how authentic her lessons are...with a focus on Taiwanese culture and native speech.
