Fairies and Dragons, Ponies and Knights

An episodic adventure story for humans of all ages! In the beginning everyone was nice. But over time, so slowly that no one could say when, or how, or why it started, the Fairies and the Ponies got...mean. Beatrice knew this because, although she couldn’t prove it yet, she knew that the Fairies and Ponies had stolen her egg. And stealing a dragon’s egg, in Beatrice’s opinion, was going too far. But to confront them she would need the help of a Knight. Produced by Dirt Road Theater in Northfield, VT, FADPAK was created by Gracelyn, Oliver and Dominic Spillane. It is edited and performed by Maren Langdon Spillane, and features original music by Nathan Leigh. Each episode is broadcast live to a virtual audience on Zoom and features a special guest artist whose illustration will come to life during the performance. Best story ever!

This is the best podcast I’ve ever listened to! I love how the plot thickens as the story goes on. I love the insults and ideas thrown back and forth between the dragglings and I love the fairy’s insults and I love smudge and Stella together! They are so cute! I was so mad when Vera did that to azreal and Petra and I love all of the humor in it! It is so well written! Please make another season!!! Love love love!!!!!!!! Also Tom and talora should get married, even tho Tom obviously has a crush on Megan lol. Can’t wait for season 4!!!!

I was constantly amazed by how creative and how real and intricate Mrs Spillane made the story seem. I especially loved how they made the second season based off of a prophecy. I mean, name 1 amazing and must read fantasy novel(series) that doesn’t involve a prophecy!! And they really wove that song into the entire story. And, me being a pretty awesome reader and having written a few stories myself, I LOVED the plot, details, and sound effects that went with the story. As I was listening, I could literally see and hear the characters inside my head, and sympathized with them, and whenever Beatrice, her babies, Talora, Tom, and Furball prevailed, I would internally root for them and congratulate them. When they had their moments that were, well, not so good, I would get angry, annoyed, sad, and upset, especially when the Draglings thought that their mother was going to die.

This podcast and story is well written, has an intricate and captivating storyline, and is loved by the children and adults in our family. After listening to episodes, we spend time discussing and predicting story events. This has been a great way for us all to connect. We’re excited for Season 3!

Audible level story and narration!

My husband and I have hundreds and hundreds of hours listening to audio books and this is some of the best kids experience we have enjoyed. Seriously, someone at audible needs to call these folks!! Our daughter loves it and it is so so much fun. I’m surprised it hasn’t caught on like wildfire (yet!) Thank you!!

You had me at fairies...and dragons...and who doesn’t love ponies and the adventures of Knights? This episodic podcast is very imaginative and Megan, the storyteller, encourages kids to use their imaginations by drawing while listening. Her soothing voice makes this podcast good for bedtime too.
