    Not authentic messianic Jew congregation
I recently listened to a podcast episode from a Messianic Jewish preacher who used the **NASB 1995** Bible during his teaching. While he verbally substituted key names and terms with Hebrew words, this approach felt inconsistent and a bit inauthentic. There’s also another preacher who is changing the words because I cannot find the Bible he’s reading from to follow along. As someone who values the **Jewish roots of faith**, I was expecting the use of a translation like the **Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)** or **Tree of Life Version (TLV)**—both of which naturally incorporate Hebrew names and terminology. These translations would offer a more authentic and seamless experience for listeners looking to connect with the **Messianic Jewish perspective**. While I appreciate the effort to include Hebrew terms, it felt more like a forced overlay onto a standard Christian Bible translation, rather than a true embrace of Messianic Judaism. For a podcast focused on Messianic teachings, it would be more meaningful to use a translation that fully reflects the **Jewish context** from the beginning. I hope to see more consistency in future episodes, where the teaching style and chosen Bible translation are more aligned with Messianic traditions.
