Wright is the long-time Executive Producer of 929’s Geoff Calkins Show each weekday and now hosts every afternoon with a rotating cast of co-hosts like DaMichael Cole from the Commercial Appeal & Drew Hill from the Daily Memphian among others. Wright is a specialist on college football including his time hosting and now contributing to the “Oxford Exxon Podcast”. Wright holds a Bachelors from Pepperdine and a Masters from Ole Miss and lives in Memphis with wife Aleia and daughter Josephine.

It doesn’t get much better than this.

I mean. Yes. I’ll be honest I didn’t want to like Mr. Giannotto. Partly due to the fact I’ve never been able to spell his last name but also because I saw him drinking white wine (with ice) while eating boneless wings (looked like MILD sauce) on the Tuesday wing night at Buffalo Wild Wings in Germantown. BUT. I’ve come around. His coverage of the local Memphis beat (go Grizz!) has been nothing short of exceptional and I appreciate his fair, if sometimes frustrating, takes on Penny’s program. Glad they got a full time radio spot and happy to see I can download the pod when the boss sends me out of town. Keep it up!

Great job so far!

I was a little skeptical at first when Eric Hasseltine left but Jeffrey and Mark have picked things up without skipping a beat. They have been absolutely fantastic every day from 2-4 on 92.9!
