Wayne Q35Episode 78Love the podcast, I work for the Montana DNRC in eastern Montana and was recently listening to episode 78 with Tim from JK boots and you said there’s only two causes of wildland fires, humans and lighting. I would also like to add coal seams, we get several starts a year caused by underground burning coal seams up here. I’m also repping JK boots, best boot I’ve ever worn!

Trebek928Love the showJust listened to episode 99 and as someone who recently resigned after 7 years with the FS, everything in this episode rang true. Keep up the good work and keep the politicians feet to the fire it’s the only way we will get Wildland Firefighters the things they need and deserve.

Austin, BIndividual’s Stories of significant fires from the pastI really enjoy the podcast. Great content and some really interesting people. I’m a structure guy and really enjoy hearing the stories and perspectives people have in the wildland community. My only knock is that I would like to hear more about guests detailed personal experiences on the fires they’ve worked. Or even tell the stories of the fires that really impact how wildland fires are fought today. Other than that, keep up the good work

Carrie@1981Wildfire saved my lifeVery informative and real !

Raleighj45GREAT podcastJust stumbled upon this podcast through a recommendation to listen to the latest episode with Ben Strahan. This interview was fantastic and could be applied to anybody, not just wild land firefighters. Ben is such an inspiring leader and a great speaker about what he has gone through in his life. He has a lot of great knowledge to be shared, and needs to be shared. This interview really reminded me of some of the great interviews on the Joe Rogan Podcast similar to a David Goggins interview. I can’t wait to read his book and hear him continue his journey through life.

FinnSNGood show, keep up the good work! The anchor point podcast has had some really good guests/topics and seems helpful for those new to fire. I think that it could use more serious interviews with guests who have lessons learned and fire line knowledge to share. Find some old timers! The host leans a little too heavily on bro-ey chatter and sometimes misses the point that Wildland fire dialogue can be a legitimately learning experience. On The Line and WFLLC podcast offer much more professional insight and interview more folks with lifetime experience. The honest dialogue about mental health awareness and identity is an extremely positive aspect of this show. Keep it up! Most common words used are “man” and “send it” so buckle up!
-
MedicOneGreat podcastsI’ve been a structural firefighter and paramedic for almost 10 years in Central Texas and am just getting into the wildland side of things. These podcasts are really good. They’re filled with good info and insight into things that not only have to do with the wildland world but the structural world, also. Thanks for these and keep doing what you’re doing.
