XVGM Radio is a VGM podcast, done in the style of a radio show. It was established in 2018 with one simple mission in mind: to bring an awesome & ecclectic mix of Video Game Music to your ears! Each episode will bring you new music, new topics, and hopefully show you something you may not have heard, or might not have thought to listen to otherwise. With co-hosts Mike Levy and Justin Schneider, you’ll hear from game music composers, fellow VGM lovers and podcasters as well as musicians within the scene. Join the guys (and their producer, a Metroid named Janine,) as they take game music podcasting to a whole new level (complete with caller requests from game characters mixed with ones from Patreon members plus….silly commercials!) XVGM Radio….Where the Bits Keep Comin’! We release shows (episodes) on a monthly basis – usually on the middle-most Wednesday.

    Great podcast for VGM
    I have been brought to this side of music due to Yuzo Koshrio work on Streets of rage. I have enjoyed learning about other composers from the podcast and the gentlemen on this show do great work. They also have special guests with composers. They are also very humble by leaving outtakes at the end of the show. I look forward to listening to VGM Radio more in the future.

    As a podcast and VGM fanatic, these guys take the cake for entertainment! Mike and Justin have the best personalities and it really shows how much they love what they do. It’s by far my most anticipated podcast after every episode released! Keep it up guys!

    There’s some great vgm podcasts out there. I encourage you to listen to them all. But this one is top of the list for me. Mike and Justin share great music from every era and bring the laughs with fun radio skits.

    A Fresh Approach
    I have several VGM podcasts in my rotation, and I also have a father who has 2 degrees in broadcasting and over 3 decades of radio under his belt. I know good radio, and I know good VGM. This is both. Mike and Justin knock it out of the park every week. Even among other great shows, they deserve to be higher on the list for their unique approach to the subject matter.

    Pixeltunes Radio was an amazing show and this looks to be a worthy continuation with some variation that gives it its own flair. Mike & Justin are great hosts and strike the right balance of information and humor that will keep you coming back for more. Song choice is top notch and I look forward to hearing future selections.
