    Started off weak, getting better
The initial episodes and interviews (especially episode 15) were really flip-floppy and patronizing. But towards the newer seasons it seems like Kate is finding clarity around her stance, is understanding the real issues that lead to divorce, and has developed actual tools to support her listeners. Just do yourself a favor if you’re a woman, and skip episode 15. Cringey!!

    Excellent resources everyone should have!
I’m so glad I found your podcast. I am at the very beginning of a divorce and trying to make it through the “system” with a domestic violence situation. There is so much information here and hearing what you’ve been through, well, I can’t say enough. I’m realizing that there is help out there. Thank you!

    Disappointed
I will say I am disappointed she is a Trumper. I listened to a great episode about the effects of abuse on women’s minds and bodies. Double abuse from those who don’t believe you. The guest even quoted the Bible and how it divorce is misinterpreted there to give women strength to move forward which is great. I started listening to a new episode and immediately she talked about her happiness about the inauguration, she brought it up. The man has caused so many women physical and mental abuse and is not Christ like. Told Wendy Williams him and his daughter have s*x in common. Talking about how he will take care of women whether they like it or not is abuser talk. Grabbing them by the kitty is SA. It immediately flooded me hearing it in a safe podcast. If you think he is great then this is for you. If you feel triggered by the abuse DO NOT listen.

    Survival is the right word
I’m at the beginning of a divorce process and this podcast is really getting me through. It’s giving me a break from the merry-go-round of emotions while helping me validate and acknowledge them at the same time

    Wise, kind, thoughtful podcast
If you’re thinking about divorce or started the process and want some wisdom, this podcast is really helpful, validating, and upbeat. She runs a coaching practice too, but is never pushy. Listening to this podcast helped me make loving decisions for the whole family.

    Right on!
Episode 283: THANK YOU so much for putting it so plainly. So much of this is about misogyny. Problems do not get solved by ignoring them. We have got to name it and fight it, in our personal lives and at the ballot box!

Listen if you’re going through a divorce
This podcast is fantastic. The advice and guidance is straightforward and practical. You can actually apply it to your life. Kate’s personality and delivery is also just the perfect pick me up when you’ve had a rough day and need a little motivation to keep going <3

    Very good, VERY useful
It’s presented from a woman’s viewpoint because, as she points out, she’s a woman. But it’s useful for male perspective as well.

    Relatable
I felt like she was describing my situation trying to get through the family court’s lack of recognition of narcissistic abuse being a huge factor!

    Lifesaver
Kate’s voice, humor and knowledge have been lifelines in my divorce process. Her guests are so informative about the emotional, financial and legal aspects of divorce, and I appreciate how she addresses the issues of being a parent going through divorce. Her podcast has helped keep me sane and guide me through one of the hardest periods of my life. Thank you!

    Tools for your toolbox
This podcast is great for before/during/after the divorce process. It has given me many tools to use and try during that time, and a window into other types of divorces and relationships. You don’t have to feel alone in your situation, because chances are, you are not! Kate and the community have provided an uplifting environment for women and partners going through this change, that was not available years ago. Her work has brought other professionals together for access that many of us didn’t know where out there. My relationship with my coparent has been incredible, and our kids have been thriving. Thanks to her tools she has given me that I bring to my own therapy, to use in daily life, I can’t believe how happy and at peace I am on the other side.

    Kate Anthony Rocks!
After a 26 year marriage, I started searching for help as I was pretty sure I wanted out. I started out listening to Kate’s podcast (for about a year) then moved to reaching out to her for private coaching as I moved into the divorce process. She was instrumental in helping me to make final decisions, start the divorce process and the ups and downs of mediation. She cut thru all the crap that my overwhelmed brain could not handle. I truly wish all women to find her podcast, amazing resources and programs, and private coaching so that they can have the support that I had. Whatever stage you are at, this podcast will be a lifeline. Kate has also created an amazing community of women that offer support as well.

    Lifeline
This podcast has been a lifeline to me. A source of comfort and advice and education. Whenever I am feeling defeated I listen to several episodes and I feel pumped up again and ready to take on my divorce podcast. I feel so much better equipped for this journey because of Kates episodes. I really appreciate this resource and share it with all my new divorcees and those SIsORIG women. Thank you Kate for the free therapy !

    This podcast changed everything!
When my husband and I first separated, I was a wreck. Friends would send me episodes of the Divorce Survival Guide podcast, but I wouldn’t listen. I was too overwhelmed, sad, in denial and scared out of my mind that I wouldn’t have enough money to survive it. Kate Anthony saved me. Each podcast is so thoughtful, with an expert who you can count on to give the best advice, along with their contact information. I retained a financial advisor who was interviewed by Kate. And a parenting plan specialist. I know which of my ex’s behaviors were selfish vs narcissistic or abusive. Most importantly, I know how to put the kids first. And me first. Not him. I basically have a BA in divorce because of Kate Anthony. I’m listening and learning more every day. Now, whenever I have friend ready to contemplate divorce, the first thing I do is send her episodes of this podcast.

Great Guests and Topics - Very Woman Biased
Hi! I am an avid podcast listener and recently started going through my own divorce process. As a 45 year old man going through this, there are not a lot of reliable and honest resources for men out there. When I came upon this podcast, I knew it was hosted by a woman but the topics looked incredible and many applied to my situation. As I started going through the episodes, it appears the guests do their best to not make the discussion female-male centered, but use the word spouse. The host, on the other hand, leans into her experiences and tends to focus on the man doing the wrong in the relationship and parenting. This can be frustrating to hear…repeatedly. I give the host grace and compassion because she has been through the thick of it and came out the other side a much better person, however I think this podcast could gain a whole new demographic if it leaned more to the center on managing the divorce. I really would like to share this with two divorced dads call groups of over 50 men, but am reluctant to do so because it may create more angst and frustration within their own processes. If you are a man going through the divorce process, listen to this podcast with a filter. Try to focus on the topics and what the host and guests are speaking about rather than the bias towards men being the ‘worst’ in the relationship and cause of the majority of pain in the divorce.

    Invaluable
This podcast has been invaluable. After 26 years, I’ve found myself the midst of a divorce without a Clue of where to start. Kate has helped me understand the process and her guests are top notch. Tammi Wallensak, was amazing to talk to and I look forward to working with her as I plan my next home. A big thank you to both Kate and Tammi for your professionalism and support during this challenging time. Xoxo Sofie

    Great Series, Valuable Info
Just listened to episode 204 with Tami Wollensak, such great information. The marital home is one of the first decisions a divorcing couple needs to make, and they need to be educated before making a decision. Thanks for sharing all of this content!

    Supportive, actionable divorce podcast
I strongly recommend this podcast to anyone. It is titled EXACTLY RIGHT! I have been listening to this podcast since I started considering divorce which helped me process getting to discernment counseling and is STILL helping me now as we are in marriage counseling. You heard me right, still helpful in supplementing actual therapy. If your considering it, listen, you won’t regret it!

Weighty - but won’t bog you down
Kate is relatable and the episodes are informative. She’s down to earth and direct, and has a way of drawing out her guests that I love. This is tough subject — I noticed that some of the reviews were critical of episodes on dealing with narcissists - but the truth is that it can be very difficult - and sometimes dangerous - separating from a narcissist or an abuser, so I’m glad these episodes are out there. I like the format of having a conversation - and the experts really help provide useful information.

    “We’re all codependent” 🤯
Just heard the episode with Vanessa Bennett and it was a total lightbulb moment when it became clear that “we’re all codependent.” So affirming and empowering to hear. Can’t wait to listen to more episodes!

    Why have guest??
She has interesting guest, yet constantly talks over them and its always about herself. She needs to stop and let the guest finish a sentence or thought!!

Please tone down the F bombs
I think she’s very knowledgeable but the cursing is unprofessional and jarring to listen to.

    Thank you
Thank you for the episode on Am I the Abuser. It was so familiar and reassuring. I have been blaming myself for allowing my marriage to be in a state where I left. I'm sure I still will, but this gave me a new perspective that made sense.
  • madmanmadeira
    Good intentions but falls short
Focused on too much psychological terms and labeling. They seem to think normal relationship problems as abusive. They mentioned her husband playing golf instead of spending time with wife. Not being a good husband yes, but abuser, no. I can give myriad examples. Obsession with narcissism in podcast as most of internet is these days.

    Wanted to like this podcast
I truly wanted to find value in this podcast. I tried. But having someone so far up the LA Liberal butthole that they and their guests spend 75% of the time crapping on anyone outside of that bubble, makes it really hard. I am sure you have something to offer other than gender fluidity and Liberal ideology. There is value in your knowledge. Quit talking down to everyone outside of your tiny liberal bubble, and open your eyes to what people outside of it have to offer you. If you want to teach, be open to learning. Regardless of what your friends and the NYT has told you, you and your ideals are not the majority or the most important.

    Living after divorce
Kate Anthony speaks on various important aspects of relationships, responsibility, connection and love. In my humble opinion she is fun loving and goes straight to the point of the conversation. In the end I like what she brings to the conversation. “You are Always the Answer.” Thank you, Giampiero

    Why the laughing
It’s my first episode and I am so turned off by the fact that the host and guest are laughing at this topic that is not remotely funny. I am listening b/c I am in crisis and need help And support and the laughing is hard to hear, what can possibly be funny??

Divorcing? This podcast is for You!
Kate Anthony touches on all the issues we go through, from considering if divorce is the answer, to how to get through the process and come out ready for a better life! Lots of resources offered, along with no nonsense encouragement and advice.

    Love it!
This has been a great podcast for me and I am a regular listener. I am two years in to my mediation divorce process. I love Kate’s no nonsense approach and there are nuggets of great information in every episode. A recent episode on verbal abuse and domestic violence was particularly enlightening for me.

Great podcast if you are thinking of leaving or actually divorcing
Kate’s podcast provides helpful information. I like the interviews- even if they don’t pertain to my situation. I still learn something from them.

The BEST empowerment during the worst of times
Kate’s podcast has truly been inspirational. I was faced with the choice of should I stay or should I go? The tools and tips in her podcast helped me to make the brave choice to leave. She is bluntly honest and real which makes her so relatable. Her podcast was just what I needed to push me over that teetering line of staying or leaving. This is a must listen to anyone going through this process!

Kate has compiled everything and everyone you would want to talk to or hear from during the hardest decision you will face. I don’t know where I would be without her podcast and programs. Listen. Learn. Love
I’ve been listening for the last 6 months, the topics, guest speakers, and of course the host have been one of the best resource to help me heal and recover from my pending divorce.
