    Favorite podcast of all time!
I love how Joe and Shannon bring life to the games from my childhood. They do justice for the soundtracks and they’re thoughtful about designs and the placement of music throughout the games. They’ve let me to replay many games and to think about them thoughtfully and to talk with an understanding of the goal of these games. Joe has many previous experiences that I had before when I was younger and i even paralleled with him replaying the games. There were completely new things I had never remembered before. Shannon is completely fresh when she covers her new experiences of the games. Again I really, REALLY love when they go over the music. It’s my favorite part of every episode and I love to hear them break down what each track meant and why they used the instruments. Overall, this podcast is amazing. My brother recommended it years ago and I finally sat down and started listening and I’m hooked. This podcast not only helps me find more joy in playing the legend of Zelda games but helped me through so many tough times as well! Thank you Joe and Shannon!

    Simply the best
I absolutely love this podcast and these hosts. Their chemistry is pitch-perfect and they analyze each game so thoughtfully. Joe brings a lot of historical knowledge of the franchise, and Shannon brings incredibly fresh insights. Plus, they both have great radio voices; I could listen to them read a recipe book :) By far my favorite Zelda podcast--actually, just my favorite.

    Welcome back!
I’m so sorry about everything you’ve been dealing with this year Joe. God bless, that you’re recovering. You guys are easily my favorite Zelda podcast. I found you guys a couple years ago and I’ve loved listening to every episode. By the time I was fully caught up it was just in time for you to stop releasing episodes and was super bummed. I’m so excited to hear you guys again and can’t wait to listen to all your new episodes and even go back and replay the series with you two. God bless and good luck with everything you guys do!

    So glad your back 🥹
Shannon is so funny and nice and awesome and she is who I want to be when I grow up. Joe is cool too. 😎 They both remind my of the hosts of an Animal Crossing podcast that I used to listen to. (Blathering) I also enjoy that it is clean and that out the music in their too. I love this podcast so much.

    Hurry Back, Please!
I’m sure it’s because you’re both busy doing really important things, both in and out of your personal lives, but PLEASE hurry back! This is my favorite Legend of Zelda podcast on iTunes, and not for no reason! For those seeking a more general review, Shannon and Joe are two impeccable human beings who analyze all of our favorite Zelda titles in official timeline order, giving each game a deep dive and occasionally (but enjoyably) blundering through their own perspectives on how a game connects to it’s predecessors, it’s following titles, and how it affects the lore of the world Nintendo has developed. Maybe it isn’t for everyone, but I URGE you to jump in, maybe on their coverage of your favorite Zelda title rather than chronological order, and play along with them as they dig into one of humanity’s most beloved adventure game series.

    Finally.. THE Podcast
As a big big fan of the Legend of Zelda franchise, I’ve been waiting for content that’s THIS extensive on the games aside from your usual walkthrough videos. So much culture, so many theories coming from all the great questions that are being asked from Shannon and Joe. I binged through the entire podcast playlist and would love to hear more from the pair - whom have an absolutely DELIGHTFUL DYNAMIC. I’ll be patiently waiting for more from the two of you. Thank you both for all the cheeky giggles, and thank you even more for all the Zelda lore.

I get excited every time a new episode comes out
Not you playing Midna’s theme at the end of the latest episode 😭. I seriously love this show so much, both because I love Zelda and I love to hear the unique insight you both have on this game series. Also I’m currently DMing a Zelda D&D campaign and it really feels like every other episode, something in your discussion inspires me to consider something I hadn’t or to think more about how I can implement certain things from the games (this last episode made me think about how to decide what abilities certain triforce pieces give to their bearers with how you were discussing Ganondorf’s relationship to it at the end). A very good podcast about some very good games. Would definitely recommend it.

    A Zelda Fan’s Dream
This podcast is amazing!!! Joe and Shannon have such good insight and ideas about these games! And I love that Joe is a seasoned player and Shannon is new, so we can hear from two different perspectives as we play along. Also I LOVE the music portion!! Music is so important to LoZ and I’m so happy it gets discussed on this podcast. I’m currently playing through Majora’s Mask for the first time and am loving listening to the podcast as I make my way through Termina. Especially since Shannon & I are having the exact same struggles! Makes me feel not so alone in my play through. Give this podcast a listen, especially if you’ve started a Zelda game recently or are planning to. Oh also I’m super grateful to Joe for not spoiling anything or giving away any story elements since he’s played these already. And he also gives room for theories and ideas that may or may not be true. Thanks dude! The dynamic between Joe and Shannon is very comfortable and friendly and makes me feel at home. I really appreciate both of your work.

    Hi!
Zant seems so imposing early in twilight princess, but he threw a fit in late game.I wonder why the twilight are so unstable ,and even in his boss fight he acted with no skill.I also want to no what twilight princesses final boss fight is like? Maybe ganondorf will tern into ganon , and I think ganondorf did something to Zelda maybe he did one of the following, passesing her, taking her triforce, and locking her in a tower.note: I am a 3rd grader so don’t blame me if I misspelled something bye.

So terrific that I spoiled skyward sword and mining cap
Even though I haven’t played games like the minish cap and skyward sword I just had to listen after listening to ocarina and majora’s mask which I have played even though I had kinda spoiled those games it was well worth it! love the podcast and can’t wait to see how you guys progress from the first game to the last! Here’s a five star rating for you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Your podcast is incredible. This past year plus has been so difficult in so many ways. I enjoy every minute of the journey with you two and am always excited for the next adventure. You rock, thank you!

    Great show for Zelda fans
This podcast is great for both veteran Zelda fans and newcomers to the series. Shannon and Joe bring an interesting dynamic (heh) since Joe has been playing Zelda for years while Shannon began playing when they started the podcast. Because they are doing the games in timeline order, Shannon tends to connect each game with that perspective, which brings a fresh look at the lore within the series that I never thought of before. Her theories are always thoughtful and fun even if they don’t always pan out, and will make longtime Zelda fans look at the games in a new light. Joe is sort of a guide to the series because of his history with the games, but he still brings interesting points to each episode based on his knowledge of the older games and how the series has grown and developed. This is a very fun show to listen to, and I highly recommend it for anyone who loves Zelda.

    An introvert’s dream
I’ve been a huge Zelda fan since the original. This podcast makes me feel like it’s 1987 and I’m pouring over old Nintendo Power magazines looking at dungeon maps and copying Zelda artwork with my best friends. Uplifting!

    Best Zelda podcast ever
I love these two with their discussions. They offer opinions and their own lore interpretation. And without cussing. It’s quite a nice listen at work and not offend my coworkers.

    Definitely Worth a Listen
I stumbled upon this after a recommendation from another Zelda podcast, Another Zelda Podcast, and could not be happier that I did. Shannon and Joe are wonderful hosts, have a good rapport with each other and a strong relationship with the gameplay. They never claim to be experts and always bring fresh ideas to the lore and cannon of the game. Over the last six months I’ve listened to the full back catalog of episodes and, while it has been quite a while since played a few of these titles, Shannon and Joe’s witty repartee provides me with the warm and fuzzy nostalgia that I’ve been looking for, almost like I was playing the game alongside them (which they highly encourage). I’m now a lifelong fan and I certainly recommend you give it a listen too!

    Following along MM
I started listening because I haven’t had the time to play the games as typical adulting gets in the way. But once my brother got me a 2DS with a copy of majoras mask, I have been playing along as I listen to their analysis and play through. I am constantly impressed with how deep they get into the content and ho much I miss while I play! Excellent podcast and and Zelda fan worth their salt listens to this cast.

    Fantastic Zelda content
I was looking for a podcast about Zelda lore, and this was exactly what I hoped to find. From wild conspiracy theories to deep analysis’ on music, Zelda fans can do no better then this podcast for thinking about the hidden meanings behind their favorite games. Finding and listening to all the episodes of this podcast was a much needed moment in the calamity that was 2020. Thank you!

    Great 5 Stars!
I love this podcast and the hosts Shannon and Joe. They are amazing, thank you guys! I was looking all over to find a Zelda podcast that covered multiple games instead of just Breath of the Wild, or another game. Then I found this and saw how much content there is about multiple games following the timeline. Also, Shannon and Joe are really nice to listen to, they agree with each other and dig into other questions and talk about enemies, music, dungeons, and so much more. Thank you for this wonderful podcast!
  • Lover of the Arts, hear ye!
For Zelda fans, new and old
Amazing podcast! I binge-listened to this for the last week and thoroughly enjoyed the content. Shannon and Joe discuss their play through with open minds and laughs! They explore cannon and their own theories. I recommend for ANY Zelda fan!

Best LoZ discussions I have heard
This podcast is fantastic because it lets me live out my wildest fantasies of having friends I can talk to about my interests. Specifically my interest in The Legend of Zelda games: their stories, and the way they tell them. I’ve wanted for a long time to have an in-depth discussion with someone about what these games mean to me, and I was really excited to find this podcast where Shannon and Joe have exactly those kinds of discussions. Their conversations have just the right blend of story as it is unfolding, what might be going on “behind the scenes” (as in, Hyrule politics), and how the wider context of the timeline enriches the story. I also LOVE that they devote time and appreciation to the music, as I think music is a huge component of Zelda (I picked up piano again after eight years away because I discovered Zelda sheet music online). It’s really nice to hear other people who appreciate the games in a similar way to me. Beyond this, Shannon and Joe are just very pleasant to listen to. They clearly have a very positive and supportive friendship, and they’re both very kind, intelligent, and funny. They remind me a lot of the unapologetically nerdy friends I made in college. (It makes me want to get back in touch with those people actually.) This podcast has been out for like three years and I’ve only just discovered it. I’ve only made my way through the Ocarina of Time episodes so far, but I’m enjoying it immensely. It makes me very happy that this exists, and I’m excited for future episodes. It has my full recommendation. Thanks Shannon and Joe!

    new fave podcast!!!
love joe and shannon. i recently re-played OoT and MM and was looking for a podcast; listened through their episodes on those two and loved it so much. now i’m going back and listening to the skyward sword season, and i’m eager to re-play twilight princess just to listen to their latest season! p.s. find a way to make more episodes faster 😭

A great podcast for casual Zelda fans
I found this podcast about a month ago because I wanted somewhere to explore the lore of the franchise without having it feel like a research project. I am so glad I clicked on this podcast. While I was intending to find something that took specifc Zelda topics and discussed how they appear in each game, it is so satisfying to listen to Shannon and Joe play through and discuss the LoZ games. Topics range from games' plot and enemies, to music and head cannon, all the while being engaging and inviting. This is by far my favorite podcast, and I'm excited to continue listneing to Shannon and Joe journey through Hyrule...Lorule...and Termina...The Great Sea...and all the others.

    Love this
I listen to this podcast over and over. It’s my go to on all long trips and I look forward to every new one. Joe and Shannon are so fun to listen to and their analyses of the games are very thoughtful and interesting. I love the flow of the episodes as well. When Joe or Shannon get excited they do jump around a bit but that just shows their connection and genuine interest in the games.

    Great podcast
I was jonesing for some Twilight Princess content one day, and Tandem Legends showed up in my search. I was immediately hooked and started going into the backlogs to hear about games I haven’t played (or, in the case of Majora’s Mask, probably won’t finish). Keep up the great work.

A very good podcast that every Zelda player should listen to and very descriptive in a very small moment. I wish I could give it a 1,000,000 stars

    Love it!
I get so excited for each new episode! I love the Zelda franchise, but I don’t have the time or the will to play through each game. I love that I can play through Shannon and Joes experiences! I also love the careful attention to the music in each game, because that is one of my favorite parts of the franchise. Thanks guys and keep it up!

    I adore this podcast.
I LOVE the Legend of Zelda series. I have so many happy memories playing OoT on my Nintendo 64 and the MANY times my sister and I attempted to play the entire game in one night (alternating dungeons - and no, we never achieved this)! Joe and Shannon, you are so wholesome. I go back and re-listen to favorite game episodes ALL the time and picked up Twilight Princess for the first time in years just for the sake of following along! I hope you guys know what joy you bring, just by playing video games and talking about it with us. Much love!
