Mathew PrimeComics, Friendship, love and joy!I have only been listening to the fire and water network and this the mother podcast for about six months. It is amazing and wonderful and now the fire and water network makes up roughly 70% of my podcast listening. I absolutely love the shows policy of basically not saying anything if they have literally nothing nice to say about something. At the same time Rob and Shag do not hesitate to apply their keen critical observations while at the same time staying fun. Also the shows theme song has become my jam. This podcast will make you smile.

Sean42AZThey Were Aqua and Stormy Before It Was CoolIf you loved the Aquaman movie and want to learn more about the character; if you love characters whose heads are on fire, but were permanently turned off of Ghost Rider by Nicolas Cage — Then this is the show for you! Though they’ll never admit it, Rob and Shagg are the nicest guys in podcasting and bring hours of joy to the airwaves each month. Their genuine love for these characters shines through at all times. Come for the deep dive into comics about characters you love — stay for Rob’s exasperated sighs when he gets playfully annoyed by Shagg. —Sean Ross

Slangword, a comics fanThe Best? The best podcast about Aquaman and Firestorm hosted by Rob Kelly and the Irredeeemable Shagg, also the only one. Wait, let me start again . . . This is an incredibly fun podcast. Rob and Shagg help me to enjoy comics I have never read, and help me enjoy comics I have read years ago all over again. I so much appreciate the humor, positivity and sheer love of comics that comes through every episode. Thank you, gentlemen.

Marc MadrigalSo happyThis podcast is truly awesome. Really love listening to it. While I don’t know much about Firestorm, there’s still no better place for an Aquaman fan.

MichaelcpaThe Grand Daddy & Still the StandardThe guys (Rob & Shag) who got me hooked on listening to comic book podcasts are still the greatest and they are at their best when they are together, like this show & Who's Who. Give me more "Calassssic" Firestorm & any Aquaman era Rob feels like tackling.

PiperruthWaxing the nuclear subWax on! This nuclear sub of a show never fails to entertain, and has spawned a whole network in it's wake. This show is the flagship usually focusing on Aquaman and Firestorm, but not necessarily every episode. This is quite all right with me, however, as the hosts are passionate about a wide variety of geeky topics and have great insights to share. They have a mantra to "find your joy", so they will have fun talking about their chosen subject, which makes it fun to listen. They are also interactive with their listeners, and take time to read feedback that they have gotten. This has formed an awesome community and they have dubbed their fans "nuclear subs". These admirals will take you on a wild ride. There is great humor, factual information, and witty banter aplenty. Wax off!

JLUcastilloNo one does it better!Rob and Shag are two of my favorite podcasters. Shag's enthusiasm is truly contagious and Rob's nostalgic passion makes you feel good. Their back and forth banter alone, is worth the free price of admission to say the least. I started listening years ago since I'm an Aquaman fan ( sorry Rob but PAD is one of my favorite eras) but Shag made me a Firestorm fan( I now have read all the original Firestorm series and enjoyed it immensely). The network has made me discover other great podcasts as well, it truly is a wonderful community of comic book fans. Also, thanks to you guys I discovered in stock trades and it has now become my favorite website to shop tpb and hc collections.

@itsraineyoutPlease Read ThisAquaman is my favorite DC character, and I'm just a die hard fan of all of his lore. It's just great to finally hear people who don't underrate or underestimate him as a character or in terms of his abilities. Most of the community sees him as a joke, and I'm constantly defending him during debates 😂

CanadaClarkWhat Do I Have To Do In Order To Get This Crap Read On Air?Okay, so this is my third review for these two knobs (Shag & Rob) and their podcast. Yeah, yeah , yeah these guys love Firestorm and Aquaman as much as I do. This is just a hands down great show. If you aren't listening to these two idiots banter back and forth about who's better at everything, then you're missing out and you should be ashamed of yourself. I'm gonna tell your mother.

shingi_70How could you not love these guys. This wasn't the first comic book podcast I started listening too nearly 4 years ago, but this one if definitely the most entertianing and influential to my comic book tastes and wanting to start a podcaster. Rob and Shag are the two of the funniest, and knowledgeable old fogies in the podcast game, and as someone who started reading during the new 52 for the most part, it's cool to listen about eras im not to familiar with. I never miss an episode and I constantly agreeing with Shag when women are hot (though Doreen Day isn't that bad), or with Rob about wanting to see Aquaman outside of Atlantis, and I've said out loud many a time Jose Garcia Lopez praise be his name. All in all this is a great podcast and I recommend it too everyone who asks me for a new podcast to listen too. Listening to these guys have put Firwstorm in my top three heroes, and Aquaman the book I look forward too every month, when years ago I would just gave a audible huh to either one. The only minor complaint I could give is wanting to get more of the classic Aquaman talk from Rob, and maybe listen to shag tackle the Jason Rushuh firestorm. The podcast and by extension the network is requires reading for any fan of DC comics and every episode reminds me of sitting with friends and talking about how amazing this medium is.

oli_1974FinallyWow after 183 episodes I'm finally caught up. It only only took me less than a year. Even the 5 hour long episode yes even that one but I made it 2016 was a great ride hopefully 2017 will be even better Sincerely, Oli

DESARGet Ready to be caught on fire and doused with water!Like Siskel and Ebert or more like Statler and Waldorf, Rob and Shag make a great team up. With their wit and banter about Firestorm and Aquaman (admittedly an unusual combination) their discussion about old and new comics are very entertaining. The audio quality of the show is very well done and the pacing of the podcast is perfect. So if you are driving to work, jumping into a pool of hungry sharks, or repairing a nuclear reactor - check out this podcast. You'll love it!
-
jt976evlGreatest Podcast Ever about Firestorm and AquamanI admit to not being much of a fan of either of these characters, but the hosts are so much fun to listen to it doesn't even matter! They could be discussing the finer points of updating your resume and I'd be enthralled! So, until Mera dies her hair blonde make mine FaWP!

-_--_-_--_-No one does it better! This is my absolute favorite podcast, and through the Fire and Water podcast network, I've come to listen to quite a number of them. Aquaman is my favorite comic book character, and while I had a passing familiarity with that guy whose head's on fire, this show made me much more interested in Firestorm the "Nucular" Man. Since listening to this podcast, I have not only converted my brother to become a Nuclear Sub, but we've managed to ammass every single issue of Firestorm to date, to pair with my Aquaman collection (if only I can find those 60's issues!). I've only started listening to this show in the past year or so, but when I first discovered this podcast, I plowed through years of episodes in a few short weeks (gotta love that double speed). Co-host Shag speaks of "finding your comic book joy," and I have to say, the Fire and Water Network is mine!

GarrickMcNiderOne Of My Favorite PodcastsThe fact that these guys have gotten as much mileage out of talking about Firestorm and Aquaman is not surprising at all. The hosts are engaging and have a great, playful rapport that makes you think they hate each other but at the same time you know these guys are friends. To be fair I was a fan of both Aquaman and Firestorm before listening to this show but hearing two experts talk about them makes me appreciate them even more. It also has one of the catchiest ending themes ever. Listen to this show...you won't be disappointed. - Michael Bailey

Derek BuhrkeOne of the best comics podcastsIt's always a joy to listen to Rob and Shagg. Whether they're discussing a recent issue or something from the past, their geeky passion is a weekly comfort. Thanks for the quality programming!

Brother HeadFirestorm and some guy that talks to fishFirestorm is one of my two favorite heroes (the other being the Atom). I also like Nam... errr Aquaman (sorry flashed to the DC Cinematic Universe for a minute) Shag and Rob does a Fantastic job of covering the books of these two heroes. If you like good podcasts covering a great book and a prety good fish book, definetly check out this podcast.

FKAjason SNGPODIt really is good!I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness - starving, hysterical, naked - dragging themselves through the quarter bins at dawn looking for an angry fix. An old copy of The Fury of Firestorm the Nuclear Man featuring Slipknot or a battered Peter David Aquaman. If they only knew the majesty of Aquaman and Firestorm: The Fire and Water Podcast. Angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night, the fiery hair of Ronnie Raymond, the sodden underpants of the king of the seven seas. These guys talk real good about Firestorm and Aquaman - a combinmation that shouldn't work but DOES! They've carved out an internet empire from this keystone podcast, so they MUST be doing something right.

chaos136925Best Podcast I've Listened ToSome people may think to themselves-Aquaman and Firestorm, how do these two end up having a podcast at all much less together?!? Well, if you're one of those people you really need to realize these two are easily in the Top 10 of DC Characters. You've Shag and that other dweeb hosting the show (just kidding Rob because you do a great job as well) and doing a great job in spreading their love for these characters, their stories and often time showing love for other characters in the DCU. About the only thing that could make the show any better would be if they shared my love for Nightwing and Cyborg and reviewed them each month as well.
-
The Time Is NowLife ChangingYou might not think that an Aquaman / Firestorm centric podcast would change your life, but you'd be wrong. The Fire and Water Podcast is responsible for me finding a wonderful community of like-minded comic fans online. The community is fantastic, Rob and Shag are tremendous hosts, and this show has single-handedly given birth to a multitude of additional podcasts. The chemistry is wonderful, the tone is positive, the guest hosts are delightful, and the interviews with top talent in the field are gems! This is a must-listen for fans of these characters and lovers of the DCU.

ltrigg3The Podcast that started it all! That is Fire and Water PodcastRob Kelly bring insight to one of the most overlooked and most ridiculed hero - Aquaman! Aquaman is a hero wroth checking out. Irredeemable Shag brings a great longing to see future movie star Slip Knot and that guy who is on TV called Firestorm. Great podcast.
-
G.B. BlackrockFind Your JoyWhen this podcast started, the two featured characters were in comics limbo. That the hosts would start a podcast at such a time says how much they love those characters. Thankfully for all of us, both Firestorm and Aquaman have risen to the limelight in more recent times, and this show has been great way to share the joy of this success.
-
Alex osiasFrom oscurity back to greatness!I was a Firestorm follower from almost the beginning, and Aquaman -- while not the immediate choice for kiddie play hour for me -- was the most likely to be found outside of the American arena in our corner of the world. If you love either of them, this is the podcast for you! But above and beyond that, listen to this podcast for the banter between the two hosts, their geeking out on minutia of their respective fandoms (and DC fandom in general), and the lively community on the web and guest starring in the podcasts! Go, nuclear subs!
-
Joserivera83So much fun!If you're fan of Aquaman or Firestorm or both, then this is the podcast for you. If you're curious about the characters and want to give some of their adventures a try then this is also the podcast for you. Rob and Shagg's enthusiasm and positivity are infectious and as they find their joy in the characters they love you too will find yourself coming back for more. Whether it's new adventures in comics, TV or Film or, as Rob would say some "Klaaaaasik" stories, these two will be here to share their love of two wonderful characters with you, the lucky listening audience.

ProfessorAlanThe 10,000 foot hook-handed view!A great show featuring a great host and the Irredeemable Shag. This a bandwagon-jumping podcast that is covering the hip new superstars of all media, Aquaman and Flamestorm. Somehow, inexplicably, beyond all reason, this is actually a very enjoyable show. I know, I'm surprised, too.

Earth 2 ChrisThe Odd Couple of Comics PodcastingHow could a show about Firestorm and Aquaman become such a cornerstone of comics podcasting? Because Rob Kelly and the Irredeemable Shag have that certain something that’s hard to quantify, but lots of fun to listen to. Their love for the subject matter is infectious. In addition to coverage of all things pertaining to The Nuclear Man and the King of the Seven Seas, the show also has rotating features covering whacked-out stories by Bob “Zany” Haney and the “Whatever Happened to” series from DC Comics Presents. If you listen to one comics podcast with bickering co-hosts, then you should be listening to this one!
-
Council of GeeksYeah... It's GoodOh, how I wish I could claim that it were otherwise, but the dulcet tones of Rob Kelly's marvelous (though underused) singing voice and the over caffeinated squeaking of Shag somehow balance each other ideally. In all seriousness, you don't even have to be a fan of either Aquaman or Firestorm in order to get enjoyment out of this podcast, though it probably would make a good listening experience even better.
-
narcher78Found My JoyHost Shag likes to advocate for "finding your joy", and if you’re a fan of Bronze and Modern Age DC Comics, consider your joy found. I love listening to these guys banter and berate each other (all out of love, I’m sure), and every so often talk about comics. But seriously, these guys know their stuff, and have a deep passion for the characters that comes through each episode. Go ahead and click subscribe, you won’t be disappointed. This podcast is “smokin’ hot!"

DSandRSConsistently FunWe've been listening to this podcast since shortly after it started and it has remained a favorite of ours. It's an obvious choice for fans of Aquaman and Firestorm, but in addition it offers a great variety of topics and fun conversations. Definitely recommended.

Cage_NarleighNuclear Subs UNITE!In the new Golden Age of comics fandom, it's not hard to find a podcast devoted to comic books. It IS, however, difficult to find a consistent podcast of quality that engages you both during your listening experience and after. The Fire & Water podcast is just such a show. The hosts? Well, Shag doesn't know how to pronounce basic fourth grade words and Rob, well...he's got that whole "Aquaman fan" cross to bear (so let's not pile on anymore than we should). Otherwise "they make a super pair"...as comically antagonistic as it seems sometimes. So give this AWESOME podcast a listen and your support! After all, it's nice to give the elderly something to do from time to time. ;)

Highball_2814Aquaman and Firestorm?! They make a super pair!!!Do you love superheroes no one else loves? This is the show for you. Aquaman and Firestorm together like no one wanted. Tune in next show as the dastardly Slipknot makes his first appearance and the hosts jump the shark. All kidding aside, this show has been super fun from the beginning. The hosts Rob and Shag truly love these characters, and that really comes through in each episode of the show. If you know nothing about these characters or you’ve been a fan of these characters for decades, this show is a fun look at each character of the years. The hosts, Rob and Shag, have fostered a great, friendly community of like-minded fans around this show. I have been listening for years and I look forward to each episode. It is great to see the show expand into a larger network of shows. Keep up the great work guys. Buck R.

Count DrunkulaFinally, a podcast specifically for the dual-Aquaman/Firestorm niche market! If you’re fed up with the endless discussion and analysis of Batman, Spider-Man and other so-called popular and “successful” super-heroes, this podcast is for you! Aquaman, King of the Seven Seas, and Firestorm, the Nuclear Man of the Seven Seas are given their proper love and respect from show hosts Rob and the Irredeemable Shag (possibly an alias). Comic fans, geeks and other social misfits will rejoice at the banter and reportage dished out by the podcast equivalent of Siegfried and Roy. If you’re like me and you grew up wanting to talk to fish like Aquaman, or set your head on fire like Firestorm, or replace you hand with a harpoon like Aquaman, or wear puffy sleeves like Firestorm and maybe some kind of alternate universe pirate version of Aquaman, you’re just wasting time reading this review. Subscribe to the Fire and Water podcast already. Fan the Flame, Firestorm Fans! Ride the Dolphin, Aquaman Shriners!

Al GerdingOne of the best podcasts out there!!It is sooo much fun following along with the Firestorm and Aquaman books being covered in this podcast. The hosts are very entertaining and the whole network is A+.
