OskiBob101Speedy obnoxious commercialThat new Speedy commercial that’s start with a buzzer borderlines on irresponsible. Sounds like a broadcast alarm. I guarantee I will never go there. What a no class production
-
themontecarloI've tried to enjoy the new crop of hosts. It's not for me.Other than the occasional Interview this station is full of uninteresting, not humorous empty conversation boring hosts. I've been listening to knbr for 3 decades. Pretty sure they are done.

80'sVillagerSnap Out of It!Fitzgerald was not handed the 2B job. He won it as the best offensive player on the team with .831 career OPS topping M&M faves Chapman .790, Jung Ho .641, Schmitt. 633, McCrae .617, and Matos .584. Come on now!

coicoy1Obnoxious ads / Amateur sound editingI listen for some guests. The hosts are inconsistent. Annoying ads 89% of the time. Have begun ranking other Cumulus podcasts that intrude with 1 star based on absurdly earpiercing screaming banshee voices and interruptions. The worst part is that the guests I want to listen are often calling in by phone and the staff in the radio booth are not professional enough to balance out the audio levels. Combine this with the horrible Cumulus ads and their awful sound quality and it makes for a disastrous performance. Cumulus is actively ruining the station.
-
B0rloffUsed to be a good radio station.Too bad the station let go of all but two good hosts. It’s a shell (and a cracked one at that) of what it used to be.
-
MoistCooterFP SantangelloIs the best voice on KNBR. Great great move to bring him back! Will be downloading and listening to the station every time he’s on.
-
G-Dog 415Sad DemiseI used to be an avid listener, but Cumulus has reacted to lower revenue by turning KNBR into a step above college radio, complete with nepo-babies. Sad demise of a once proud station.
-
Chalky95616Obnoxious CommercialsI like the content but the timing of commercials is ridiculous. Suddenly an interview will be interrupted by a commercial and at a higher volume. KNBR continues to be tone deaf to its listeners. No wonder it’s losing fans.
-
AckerlyUNBEARABLE LOUD COMMERCIALS. !I stopped listening. The only podcast that’s interrupts with commercials ad nauseam. Can’t go three minutes without an ad.

0 star review after this week0 stars. Horrible management, spineless, greedy. Will never listen again.I will never listen again. I wish I could give 0 stars. They got rid of Tolbert and Lund today, and Tolbert has carried them for 28 years. They also have gotten rid of some of the best for no reason including Ralph Barbieri, Ray Ratto, Rod Brooks, Larry Krueger and John Lund. I am unfollowing on all social media bd finding ways to leave more review on to her media sources.

urbaciousAds so loud and disruptiveBeen a long time listener, and love the content, staff, and insight. I've also had the pleasure of meeting many of the on-air personalities over the years. My biggest complaint are the commercials. Not that they exist, I understand ad revenue, but the timing and volume. They come out of nowhere, and are seemingly on level 11/10. Some of the audio in the interviews is softer and quiet, requiring listeners to to turn the volume way up. Then, out of nowhere, some extra loud voice starts talking about a sponsor. Not only is this frustrating to have the shock factor of someone yelling in my ears, it's also dangerous for those driving. I have been startled multiple times while listening to this pod and driving due to the extra loud commercial interrupting an interview that was on higher-than-normal volume. maui tomAds wore me outThe Ads are a dealbreaker… loud… dropped in randomly… sometimes mid WORD….More than once in the middle of a Jon Miller home run call on the Post Game Wrap….I’ll still listen sometimes but the days of being locked into KNBR are over for me…
-
Hugo.yuToo many commercialsThe amount of commercials vs the total clip length, is too high. And they commercials are dropped in out of nowhere. It ruins the listening experience.
-
techiburuUploading has to be improvedMan. KNBR giants coverage is top notch. But seriously, postgame highlights and postgame wrap NEED to be posted after every game. Seriously, no one is willing to spend a few weekend hours to get these posted??

2 ears & 1 mouthPros and consOn the negative side, I Agree with the numerous reviews that the ads are way too repetitive and loud. I can't hear anymore about sean ryan or lala kent, neither of whom I ever heard of. I also agree with the review that Papa's comments about sex and women can be pretty gross. I agree with another reviewer who said they need more diversity, like how about ONE female host? And more people of color. Culturally I don't get any of Murph/Mac, Papa/Lund or Tolbert's music or movie references. On the plus side, after that ugly Superbowl, I appreciate all the baseball content. I like that the pod clips out the guest interviews, instead of just an hour or a whole show (like 95.7 does), I can listen to the radio for that. Marty Lurie is great, looking fwd to him and Bruce Jenkins again (even tho I'm about 3 demographic brackets away from them). Disagreed with Brian Murphy about Kapler but respected his Giants coverage since 05-06. Some of the guests are excellent, like Marcus Thompson and Eno Sarris. They need to book more women journalists. Wish they hadn't fired FP right before mlb season but I like Kerry also. I like the positive vibe most of the hosts have with the journalists they interview.

NinerN8Terribly DoneFail by whoever is putting together these shows. An insult to to all involved that they get interrupted mid sentence by Lund yapping about god knows what. Avoid at all cost.
-
ManusdNada papaIs the papa and kind show just all about how much papa thinks he knows?? He talks to much like he’s the smartest guy in the room.
-
dspohn55WAY TOO MANY COMMERCIALSI’m listening to some quality interviews, like Steve Young, Kyle Shanahan, and then BAM! Another ad spot with John Lund shouting “Let’s Go!”. I’ve had my ear drums blasted and destroyed for the last time. I’m unsubscribing from KNBR podcasts, WAY too many advertisements (4-5 in a 13 minute interview how is that even possible); and WAY too loud. Done
-
Surf2Die4The live radio feed:I’ve streamed KNBR from the website as I no longer live in the area, but the number of ads is ridiculous, so I’ve gone exclusively to podcast replay segments on the various shows. They will literally broadcast a full slate of commercials, updates and whatnot, then the hosts will talk about upcoming guests or something for a couple minutes, then another five minutes of ads. Also, if the feed drops, even if for only a couple seconds you get the same Tim Ryan (or whomever when it changes out after weeks) 60 seconds promo before the feed comes back on. It’s too much and an insult to our collective patience, so I don’t bother any more and advise every “ex-pat” I know to skip the station live altogether, as well.
-
Barry8385Love hateI love the content, humor, and in depth coverage of my favorite sports teams. However, I hate the audio mix and how the levels are engineered.
-
Su11yKVolume of ads ruin great showsGreat interviews and host. But the volume of the ads ruin the listening experience. They pop up mid-sentence at a high volume. Drop the volume of the ads and this is an easy 5-star rating
-
AprilsayssoThe bestLove listening but the loud ads that pop in mid sentence are atrocious. Other than that it’s fantastic.
-
The RaffinatorADS blow out eardrumsEnjoy the local sports content. Do not enjoy having my EARDRUMS damaged by the OBSCENELY LOUD ads that are spliced into the podcast. PLEASE FIX THIS Knbr
-
OakHornAd volume is ear destroying loudcontent is great … but volume on ads is over the top punishingly loud … just dial it down a little … don’t want to hold it against your advertisers…
-
All nocal fanYupGreat content completely overshadowed by the LOUD and OFTEN ads that make it unlistenable.
-
Southpaw2612The ads ruin thisThere I'll be 2-3 ads per episode no matter how long the episode is. They are in the middle of sentences too. And they are SO loud that I'm driving and have to turn the volume down every time. I get that they want revenue to have the ads but there are better ways to go about this. Do better KNBR!
-
OMOCAMAds are a problem!Love the content but the ads keep popping up in the middle of an interview at an ear splitting volume, blowing out my eardrums! Just infuriating!
-
calimom39Love content pls less adsOmg that Lala Kent ad over and over. I DONT love her… do who she is but she sounds mean
-
CredibleReviewsToo many commercialsGood content but so many commercials! Gets distracting. Got AirPods in and a sudden “lets go!” Commercial in my ear too loud and too often.
-
carl strestremskyUnlistenableThis is completely unlistenable at this point with the constant loud, annoying commercials. Nice job killing your own product, knbr— hope those speedy oil change checks are worth it.
-
MrboldballsGood content, way to many commercialsTypically really good, bay area focused, sports content. I enjoy the interviews and being able to get nice bite sized sports radio when I need it. It’s classic AM sports in a modern format. Their biggest downfall is the amount of ads. I don’t mind some but they are obnoxious, often just cutting ads in the middle of a sentence. 3-4 ad breaks for an 8 min podcast is absurd. Just leave a short one at the beginning and end and I’ll listen. Now, half the battle is avoiding the avalanche of ad breaks every interview.
-
Mudzi42Too many commercials and badly editedI used to love listening to SF Giants wrap etc but now there are too many commercials and they are cut into the podcast so poorly.
-
Baseball Fan 415Disruptive CommercialsLove listening to pre- and postgame shows and some interviews, yet the way the commercials are edited into the content is so disrupt and illogical. In one four minute segment, the interview was interrupted 3 times with commercial segments. And each time, it was in the middle of a sentence! This is chronic in every episode I listen to and it’s really frustrating. I understand that commercials are necessary evils, but c’mon
-
Slodude7Commercials occasionally interrupted by contentUsed to love listening to these, but now they are more commercials than content. The commercials will be interjected mid sentence, and are often significantly louder. I understand that companies need to make money, but this is garbage.
-
SF ErikaGiants Postgame Wrap issuesMy whole family loves the postgame highlights and wrap, and grew up listening to it after every game. But whoever is in charge of posting them does a terrible job! They’re always hours and hours late, sometimes not even the next day (like it’s 10am and last night’s still isn’t posted), and they often post the postgame wrap twice and no highlights or vise versa and mislabeled, so you think you’re getting both parts and you actually have the same thing twice. After years, I’d say about 30-40% are posted incorrectly and always after much delay. I’d love to listen every day after a game, but often can’t! Please fix!
-
used to be a listenerMorning showIs anyone else tired of the Murph and Mac adolescent act? Always making fun of different people like jerky 12 year olds. And the constant UCLA talk and talking down Cal. This is the Bay Area not So Cal. Take that act south or cut it out. I don’t listen to that show anymore.
-
Matt GowdyCommercial volume too loud!!!!!!!Great content, but the volume levels are way off!!!! The volume on the advertising/commercials are extremely loud! I like to listen to Podcasts to relax before bed and I can no longer listen to the KNBR podcasts because the commercials are crazy loud! The podcasts on KNBR have been that way for over a year. FIX this please!!!!!!!
-
TJ68238383773Content is great, the humor and “entertainment” is too broKNBR has excellent sports content. But I cringe so often or roll my eyes at the humor. Hope they can work to expand their audience to include people who aren’t just bros. Excellent Giants content and guests.
-
Jukebox_HeroshimaMore Giants pleaseWould love to hear more Giants hotstove discussion.

CharlieHustle16Giants?Man, I miss having a team with stars and must watch talent. Haven’t watched a game all year because they manage this team like a small market one. This is San Francisco, not KC, we need some names, Farhan has made this organization boring as he\\
-
Mr.B. ObamaKFSO in San FranciscoI go way back MIA till Timmy Have lived in Boulder Co With the net it’s like 1962 It looks like you significantly cut the pre and post game live discussions Ching If I hear that 1-800 Cars for kids I’ll become homocidal
-
Moneil PStarting to staleIve been listening to KNBR for 35 yrs or so. Lately the show has succumbed to the mindset of the bay area. Superfluous talk radio that backs the organization and rarely is critical of anything. Their broadcasters lack diversity for a decade plus now sans Brooks and now Copeland. Softball questions after softball questions. Ill still listen for the guests; but not the hosts. (Example: crowley openly mocks AZ or the Reds only to see the Reds mop up the Giants. Crickets)
